TJ for Courtney Lee and a future 2nd rounder, I'd do that. Get it done.
Code: Select all
Player Season Age G GS MP FGA FG% 3PA 3P% eFG% FTA FT% TRB AST STL BLK TOV PTS
Courtney Lee 2018-19 33 34 6 12.6 3.8 .411 1.6 .291 .473 0.6 .667 1.6 1.1 0.6 0.1 0.4 4.0
T.J. Warren 2018-19 25 43 36 31.6 14.2 .486 4.2 .428 .549 2.9 .815 4.0 1.5 1.2 0.7 1.2 18.0

I could honestly care less what we get for TJ. Just move him and his salary already. He's useless to us.
He is only "useless" to us because we have done such a s*** job assembling a roster. You should be able to use a guy that shoots 40% from three and can score 18-20 points a game in the flow of the offense. Even if he doesn't do other things well. But he shouldn't be your 2nd or 3rd best player.
Except you forgot the part where he can’t stay on the floor.
He’s great at falling to the floor though.
Might be top 3 all time at that. Especially if you count hitting your head on the court when you fall.

Gambo reports the suns are not interested in Holiday or Teague.
Gambo also reports the Suns are not interested in any players at all.
Gambo feels like a teacher that asked a question to the class, and cryptically shoots down student guesses, but keeps the answer to himself. Its an awkward power play.

Exactly. He is basically trading TJ for cap relief and nothing else. Except you don't get any cap relief until next year, and it is only 11M extra to spend.

Waste of assets to trade TJ for Lee

Ya and Dallas has cap space. They can absorb warren without giving us a contract. Warren for Jalen Brunson makes more sense. At least we clear cap space to use on someone who helps the team. Plus we get a competent pg

exactly. if they want help that TJ can provide, they should have to pay for him. I assume we are just putting it out there we will take whatever for those two guys (JJ/TJ). Just the fact they both came out in the same report really drags TJ's value down.

The Mavs wouldn't give us Dwight Powell for TJ Warren, would they? I like Powell a lot.

Yep, that’s the way it works. Imagine what we’ll have to give up to get rid of Jackson.

I would trade #6 + Jackson for cap space right now. That way you don’t have to attach a future first to get rid of him and you have the extra cap space from not picking #6.
