Sounds to me like not everybody agrees on that.

This is not the first time he talks about contracts under the light that he is making little. There is rumored to be tension between Wall and Bradley, and this contract disparity sure doesn't help. I could see Wall and Cousins pairing up on a new team once their legacy contracts are done.

Cousins expires after 17-18 and Washington with Wall under old money could afford to build something solid. Starting as soon as Beal's contract allows me, I am dangling him and Gortat for Cousins. Of course, I am willing to add. Mahinmi making 16M per (pfff), four years, gets somewhat in the way, although Kieff helps to balance it out. By the way, I've always liked Sato a lot.

What's John Wall done since he's come into the league, really?

Every time I hear about a PG on the trading block or unhappy in his situation, I get worried that we will trade for him.

No doubt. Wall is not the perfect player, but certainly is a bonafide allstar.

That's what I'm wondering too. Would we be willing to move Brandon Knight plus Bledsoe for Wall plus something? Maybe one of their small forwards? Of course this isn't happening since we just traded them Kieff and usually I guess teams don't trade with the same partner that often. On the other hand, would we be okay with Wall's lack of leadership and somewhat iffy health, given the positives that he brings to the table?

Not advocating trading for him, just wondering what Suns fans generally think about these topics.

'Bone, last year Wall was complaining that even Reggie Jackson is making 80 mil, and then this year he said he and Beal don't like each other on the court sometimes, and followed that up with some rumors of him being unhappy with Harden's new extension. I'm of the opinion that while rumors are just that, they don't continually churn out similar rumors over absolutely nothing, so there's probably something there. If I'm a Wizards fan I'd be kind of pissed off right now.

I'd be scared too if I were Wash, but the player is locked unless he demands a trade. In any event, if you can turn Bledsoe and Knight into John Wall, you don't even think about it.

Wall's main problem is that he is not winning. His FO and injuries have failed him but he is still there and willing to lead. But your best partner can't be Gortat. Nash couldn't do it, Wall certainly won't either.

I give some players a bit of a pass if they play for a crappy dysfunctional organization. Same for Boogie Cousins, to a degree. But yeah, your point stands; Wall hasn't had very much success despite having a decent amount of talent on his various rosters. Coaching is a big part of it IMO.

I don't like Wall for us. Booker needs to handle the ball a lot, and Wall's somewhat ball dominant. I stand pat on the guard front.

I don't like that Wall is a complainer. Just do your job and hire the right agent. You signed the contract, now play.

The contrast to Curry is telling. Curry has every right to wish for more money in his contract, but he generally puts his head down and plays. He knows the next contract will make up for it.

He's not better than Curry, Wesbrook, C.Paul, or Harden. He would have to compete with Thompson, Lillard, our own Booker, etc. I don't think the West has room on the all-star roster for two guards on the same team unless that team wins a ton of games.

I agree that Wall is better on paper than Bledsoe, Knight, and IT. But he's the same kind of player, and I'd rather see how much Booker can grow than bring in another ball-dominant PG. Especially not someone who is already dissatisfied.

I don't know if being an All Star is that big of a deal. At least not to me.

From what I've seen, Wall is elite at several things, including his end to end speed, his passing vision, and his size. On paper, Wall plays very good defense (at least statistically. I haven't seen enough Wizards games to determine his consistency/impact on that end). He was not a good shooter coming into the league but developed a very solid mid range shot, though his 3 pointer is still atrocious.

If I had the chance to combine two B talents for an A talent, I would be tempted. Wall may be A-, but to me he's clearly a better player than either Bledsoe or Knight.

I do wonder about the intangibles and chemistry though.
