Westbrook is not an asset. Only a team's contract with Westbrook is an asset. And no, Westbrook's contract is not a particularly attractive asset at this point.
Are you saying that a team wouldn't overpay his contract to get him on their team?

He not saying Westbrook's contract is worthless, just that it's not worth trading away the future of the franchise.

I wouldn't trade away Booker either, but if you ask me to trade Archie, Bledsoe, Knight and Tucker, I wouldn't have to think very long about it.

Presti would have to be fired on the spot if he took that package for Westbrook. No picks or real prospects. Come on.

I'm not saying it would happen. Presti will have a new GM job in the NBA within an hour of his firing.

My problem is I don't see any possible way that we have the assets available to trade for enough people to make this team compete for a championship in the next 24 months. So Westbrook would leave at the end of his contract, and we would have spent the last two years giving up on our future assets for quick fixes that just make us good enough to make the playoffs, not go anywhere, and get the 15-20th pick in the draft. Bleh. Been there, done that, way too much.

I heard on the radio that Warren might have grown an inch since college and last year. He's now 6'9". I also heard he's been working out since he's been grounded and is getting buff.

Good news. I think our starting line-up by the ASB is: Bledsoe-Booker-Warren-Dudley-Len.

I'm hoping these are the starters on opening night.

It'll be Bledsoe-Knight-Tucker-Dudley-Len (or Chandler) and it will be pretty awful for a while then they'll swap out Tucker and eventually Knight.

Dragic about Phoenix:
“It feels like they’re always changing something,” Dragic told Yahoo Sports. “They’re not like Miami, San Antonio, those teams that are really loyal when they find something.”
Whoops.
