RealGM reporting we are actively trying to trade Bledsoe in a ackage for a star. Sounds like the Porzngas to suns ruors may have more steam then I thought.

Bledsoe/4/ Chriss to NY for Zinger? Take Bender out and I'm doing it or add #9 in and I'm doing it.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

I'd rather throw in Bender than Chriss no doubt. Hell I'd throw in Bender and one of the Miami picks top 3 protected over throwing Chriss in.

I can only hope, but the more we sit here and wait, the less I think we actually pick at 4 tomorrow.
What's the thinking behind that?

Thinking that McD and Sarver will lose their new found patience and want to pair someone with Booker and then chase a big name FA to make the playoffs.

This is the only way I'll be OK with not drafting at 4 tomorrow.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/1970 ... -best-team
Sources told ESPN on Tuesday that the Knicks had talks with each team positioned in the top five in the lottery trying to acquire both its pick and a young player with star potential for Porzingis. In particular, members of the organization have had recent conversations with the Phoenix Suns about a trade involving their No. 4 pick in Thursday's draft, and New York has had substantive talks with at least two other teams who have called about Porzingis, sources said. Some iterations of potential trades with the Suns have included Marquese Chriss and Dragan Bender in recent discussions, per sources.

As ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported Tuesday, the Knicks would target Kansas star Josh Jackson with that pick if they could do a deal before the draft

I agree. Although I honestly don't think there is much chance Phil actually trades KP.

I actually don't even care who we draft tomorrow at the 4. As long as we don't trade for vets in an attempt to win now.

If we can get KP without losing DBook I'm all for it. The question is do we trade Bled or Bender and Chriss. I don's see us trading the pick, Bled and Dragan and Chriss unless we get the Knicks pick this year.

What's interesting is that the Knicks are still talking to us about the 4 pick because they like Jackson, without knowing Jackson will be there....unless it's common knowledge or they know the Cs are taking Tatum. Or, there might already be some framework set dependent on whether Jackson is there at 4.

Seems like more and more folks expect Tatum to Celtics because his ability to shoot. That got me thinking though that we were complaining about our lack of shooters last year especially with Booker starting slow, we were celebrating Duds as the only person who was hitting 3's. I know there's been many who said Jackson is the best player and would be a steal if he drops to #4 but we don't have wing defenders either so that's the problem with passing on him sigh lol

New Chad Ford mock draft has Tatum to Celtics. Says we'd pick between Fox, Jackson, and Isaac. Says McD prefers Jackson, Watson prefers Isaac and sarver wants but Fox. Has us taking Fox.

This has me so conflicted. I don't like that Sarver is getting involved, and in the end has us taking his guy over the GM and the coach. But if that means he knows Bledsoe needs to be traded, I like it. Argh.

And if you are a GM worried about your job, you probably take Jackson. He is said to be the safest pick out of the three (JJ, Tatum, Isaac). Which means you shouldn't take him.

I sure hope this is not true, not because of the players but if our 3 "decision makers" all on different pages that is not a good sign

I get them all having their preferred prospect. I think that is fine. I actually like they all have their own opinions. Maybe just not leak it to the media...

Or are they doing that on purpose so they can talk to the teams that want Fox, and Jackson, and Isaac...

Well 10 more hours of us guessing lol. I think the Porzinigis thing isn't happening as most reports has it as Booker or no deal and can't see us agreeing to that

This draft reminds me of 1999, when there were so many star talents who didn't turn out to be superstars. I think there are a lot of great role players available.

My preference:
Trade for Porzingis
Get two guys: Ntilikina and either Isaac or Monk
Draft Fox, trade Bled and spend a year growing the young guys.

Are these 3 different options? I was assuming that if we get Frank, we would trade Bled. I would LOVE to find a way to add Isaac and Frank if that meant we were trading Bledsoe. What could we give Sac for #5 in addition to Bledsoe?
