Tell me more about how the GOP is really doing great with Black voters. What a joke.

Who mentioned the GOP?

Other than Trump she is the leading GOP candidate for President. Where else would you put this? She was chastised earlier about saying the Civil War was about freedom and not slavery. Then here she tries to clarify and says of course it was about slavery but, it was more than that. She says it was about the government telling people what they can and can’t do. The government was telling them they could no longer own slaves. So what is her point? Slavery is bad but, the government telling them they can’t have slaves took away their freedom to own slaves and that she is apposed to?

I think he's trying to split hairs by saying that he wasn't claiming that the GOP was doing well with black voters, only Trump. Which is true; that is what he said. But the point is that the GOP relies on getting votes from a large coalition of racists as part of its base, and any major Republican candidate knows it. That's why Haley doesn't dare say that the Civil War was about slavery, and that's why Trump wouldn't, either. He knows he can't piss off the kooks.

Shame on you for trying to distort what I said, and then doubling down and trying to pin me with "splitting hairs". That's trying to claim I was being dishonest. It's not cool Marty.

On a separate note.

Here is DeSantis account reporting that Haley even flubbed her back peddling mistake on the Civil War.

I am not even sure what you guys are talking about now.

All those previous GOP candidates were moderate Republicans compared to Trump. They all had some morals and decency. I respected McCain a hell of a lot more than Trump and Maga did. Trump totally insulted McCain’s military service and the GOP didn’t care. The GOP is a joke.

Well, let's just say that your admiration for them is misplaced and ignorant. Not that you're ignorant, just that what you know about those a-holes is very limited.

Nikki Haley promises to pardon Trump if elected, despite criticizing him heavily back in 2016. In the end, they all just become supplicants to Trump. She's just running to be his Veep at this point.

Nikki Haley will never be his VP choice. I'm sure the establishment wants it and corporate media will oblige in pushing that narrative.

So who do you think will be his running mate?

I'm not a political person by any stretch of the imagination, but I check in here from time to time just to remind myself how insane politicians have become. Absolute buncha lunatics.

Idk, but I am definitely crossing her off the list of potential VPs.

I know enough to have watched them for many years. I wasn’t a fan of any GOP but, I had respect for some. The ones I had the most respect for are the ones Maga hates the most and calls Rinos. I watched McCain defend Obama at a McCain rally when some lady accused Obama of being a Muslim terrorist. I don’t think there is a single Republican politician today with the morals to do that. I watched Romney stand up to Trump many times and not buy into Trumps lies. They are the last of a dying breed of GOP. Todays GOP must bend a knee to Trump and be willing to spread any lies he makes up without question.

Yea, the party has definitely lost its way and 100% agree. I still think it was really bizarre how Lindsay graham went from being against trump to defending his every move.

Unfortunately, you've got everything backwards, but I don't blame you. You can only make conclusions based on what you've been carefully shown.

You can say that about half the GOP. None of them liked Trump until he won the nomination. Then they bent the knee and kissed his ring.

Have you heard this guy? Former GOP Rep. says that Russia has been fooling GOP congressmen into having sex with covert prostitutes / escorts and gathering kompromat on them for years now, then threatening to release it unless they vote a certain way on certain bills. I don't think this counts as hard evidence, but it is very weird to see an actual Rep speaking up and saying that this has been happening on a broad level. I'm sure such stuff is targeted at Dems, too. I hope these guys get advice on how to avoid such things and not get put in a compromising (kompromatizing?) position.

I believe that he's a current representative and not a former one. I also believe that he was talking about both sides of the isle, and really all of Congress, not just the Reps.
