Aaron Rupar often has great threads of video clips of crazy Trump events. He did not disappoint in his thread of clips from Trump's speech at the Libertarian Party convention. This was a really bumpy and embarrassing event for Trump. I think he thought the people there would like him and cheer for him and even vote for him. He found out that a lot of Libertarians weren't having it.

All previous Presidents are called “Former Presidents” Trump is always called President Trump as if he is still President. A little annoying.

I don't really know. Maybe a few (not many) will. Some will vote for the Libertarian candidate or some other 3rd-party candidate. Some will certainly vote for Trump. I did really enjoy seeing the lustily boo Trump as he awkwardly tried to get their votes, then seeing Trump turn on them and start insulting them and their party's 3% vote share. Chef's kiss.

I still think it matters that on our solemn holidays, such as Memorial Day which is meant to honor the brave soldiers who lost their lives defending this country, Donald Trump sees fit to post messages like this.

We have all heard Trumps true feelings about our military. Like always, he is as fake as a three dollar bill.

Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.

That was debunked, yet you still spew the lies. Shameful.

It's really disgraceful the way Trump behaves on holidays like this. Look at the contrast with what, say, former President Obama tweeted. Just miles apart in terms of class (or complete lack thereof). Trump's message is all about himself, complaining and claiming victimhood, and spewing hatred and insults at all sorts of people he believes have wronged him. Obama's is about what the holiday is supposed to be about, the brave men and women who fought and died for this country. Honestly anyone who would support a man like Trump is really showing their ass; the fact that you can say that this is a leader and role model you want in charge of our country is just outright shameful.

This was a bit deceptive. He had a lot of support at the convention, but sure he had detractors too. They don't have a consensus person they like, and more people didn't like their own pick.

Sure, he WANTED to get booed. That's the best outcome for him.

No, I'm not saying he wanted to get booed. I'm only saying that no one is going to be universally loved in a libertarian crowd. They don't universally agree on anything. Look at who they nominated with small amount of support.

Slate is reporting that one of Trump's coworkers on The Apprentice claims he said the "N" word about black contestants. But it seems unlikely that any of us will ever see/hear the tape, so this just seems like empty calories. Dems will act outraged about it, Republicans will say it's fake, and nobody will change their mind.

This interview is full of starting stuff. But this part might be the worst. He's just openly campaigning on dismantling the government and our system of laws now, in favor of one that blatantly favors him and his goons.

This part is also quite bad. Our actual enemies aren't the problem; it's those evil Dems. Gotta root them all out, that's what we need to do.
