Len wanted to go start, but he said he would consider being a backup on a playoff team.

Getting Len for 4m per is a pretty good deal IMO. I'd rather have had that than Williams at 5. I think he's useful defensively more than he's not and he's a good rebounder and can hit his FTs. Its too bad he was never coached up well here. Oh well.

LA traffic is bad but you need to visit SF if you truly believe this.
I've been twice. I don't remember it being nearly as bad as L.A. Of course this was 17 years ago.
I commute to both places 5-6 times every 3 months or so I speak with recent experience.

SF is the worst traffic I’ve had to deal with. LA is a close 2nd. Manhattan is probably 3rd for me even though I’ve only been there three times in my life.

I think, for most of us, gauging bad traffic is based on how long it takes to get to where you want to go (time/distance)--the higher the number, the worse the traffic. I really can't speak about SF traffic. I have only been there a few times.

So, City B is worse than City A?

It must be the offseason.

Yes. At least from this point until training camp.

These are the dog days. Amazingly, this time of the year lasts less than 2 months, and then we're right back to training camps and preseason. I love this game.

LA traffic sucks. I was known to brave the trip for an occasional Suns game in LA when I was living in San Diego, but you have to be seriously committed. And leave early. Sometimes I wondered if it would be quicker to walk from San Diego than to drive through the parking lot that is northbound I-5 late on a Friday afternoon.
Before you could Dj with mp3's I used to drive from Phoenix to L.A. all the time to go record shopping. Every 6 months or so. I have never seen anything as nuts as L.A. traffic. It is seriously something that needs to be seen to be believed.

The citizens of Mexico City and Lima Peru laugh.
According to Fortune Magazine:
The top 10 most congested cities in the world are:

1. Los Angeles
2. New York City (tie)
2. Moscow (tie)
4. Sao Paulo, Brazil
5. San Francisco
6. Bogotá
7. London
8. Atlanta
9. Paris
10. Miami
http://fortune.com/2018/02/06/most-cong ... t-traffic/

So LA beats SF and everybody else in the world, while Mexico City and Lima don’t even make the list.

ETA: CBS extends the list to 24 entries, if you’re willing to deal with a slideshow. Mexico City comes in at 16. Still no Lima. https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/worst- ... e-world/1/
I can only say that I would have killed myself myself or somebody else if I had to deal with São Paulo 's traffic every day. (I work at home).

Anthony Bourdain's definition that thr City is like if LA puked New York is great, but even more spot on if you think about traffic.

Are we done for the off-season or is there another deal coming?

Me too. I know they keep saying BK is their starting PG, but I still expect us to buy out Chandler and then find a way to bring in a PG.

I have been following this dogs days of summer thread and it's "Big City" traffic comments although I'm in no position to offer any input as I haven't been to the US in 16yrs  . Even then I was going to Brooklyn not the West Coast.

I checked Google for some stats on size and population of some cities so just to add a lil of my perspective as I think I'm probably the only Caribbean person on here....
Barbados is all of 166sq miles and population like 280,000 :) and it is quite normal to drive from the southern point to the north in under 2hrs lol

I don't think Chandler will get bought out, but I do think we'll trade for a PG (Pat Beverly Specifically).

I don’t think we’ll make a deal for a PG since they now plan on keeping Shaq. That’s three point guards already.

Let's just hope at least one of those three can learn to make a post pass into Ayton.

I'd be fine with PB.

With Harris reportedly turning down an extension in LA, would you role the dice on him? And would the Clipps take Warren + Chriss + a pic for Beverly and Harris?

No way. Harris is expecting a 100+ mil contract.

Maybe he has a change of heart once he sees the sunny winter weather.

Even if he bolts, you've got a lot of open cap space, and probably a much better winning record to lure in free agents. Depending on what the Clipps want back, I'd do that deal.
