Don't you just love the takes right as the season ends in a playoff loss?

I'm done with Ayton, I'm done with CP3, I could be done with KD. Just rebuild a team around Booker/Jordan.
Michael?
Well -- Booker's performance this postseason has been Jordanesque.

If you remember, I've been the one saying that we shouldn't hit the panic button. But two collapses two seasons in a row in season-ending games is a bit...much. Let me go point by point:
1. Booker -- likely the best player in the first two rounds of the playoffs, too bad people will forget by preseason
2. Ayton -- you've talked enough about him -- to me, his performance against Jokic was the litmus test. He failed. Send him away to a team that still believes in his potential -- and make sure that you get star potential back, no trade where the main return is a role player. And I can see him becoming the player he was meant to be out of the spotlight and expectations in Phoenix.
3. KD -- sure, he might just be in a temporary shooting drought but what if this is the beginning of his decline? There go the Suns for the next few years. You can still get 90 cents on the dollar on a KD trade if they move him now to a contender looking to shake things up like Boston.
4. CP3 -- can't be counted on, trade him for whatever you can get for him.
5. Monty -- well, we're seeing collapse after collapse, year after year. Something is wrong with the team, and in the end, it comes back to the head coach.
Rebuild a team around Booker, acknowledge that the KD trade was a mistake, move on from Ayton knowing that he'll probably break out in his next destination. Get him a second star his age (Jaylen Brown?) and a third complementary star that can do a bit of everything (Dejounte Murray) and we're most of the way there:
Trade 1: Durant for Jaylen Brown and role players
Trade 2: CP3 and Ayton for Dejounte Murray (expiring contract, low leverage for Atlanta) and Capela
* Dejounte Murray
* Booker
* Jaylen Brown
???
Capela
Something along these lines.

It does. Glad to be able to commiserate with Suns fans anyway.

Yeah, I need a few stiff drinks but it's noon here in HK and I have work meetings all afternoon. Sigh...

You know what the grossest thing is? My brother in law is training his daughters to be Lakers fans (my sister obviously hasn't been doing her job) and I'm going to be rooting for the Lakers right alongside them. Hard to dislike this version of the Lakers.

Booker would love that plan.

If this team has KD and Booker...people are going to want to come here...we need to wait to see what shakes loose this summer.

Monty in his postgame presser mentioned missing DA as a roller.

Like most people, I'm disappointed that our teams season is over. But let's not get to ahead of ourselves. A superstar was traded for AT the trading deadline. Suns weren't a complete team yet. Durant was a big piece, not the final piece.
This offseason will be very critical for the Suns. We need more size. In way too many games we saw the Suns get dominated on the boards. It may be time for another backup point guard and the bench needs more development. I could go on and on but I'm sure we'll have another board later talking about off-season moves. And again, yes I'm disappointed, but Suns just weren't a complete team this year.

There's delusional and there's Deandre Ayton.
