So much for the theory that playing organized ball all summer would bring Luka into the season in top shape.

He is definitely looking leaner…. Just want him in top shape when we play them, and beat them.

Yes, I was just going to say he looks the leanest I’ve seen him since he joined the NBA but you have to agree that his whining was in tip top shape. I’d say it’s pretty high level when it gets you thrown out of your final game.

I’d love to beat them with Luka in tip-top shape. On the other hand, if we win because Luka acts like a bitch and gets ejected, I will find that no less satisfying.

Oh absolutely…. I just don’t want any other teams excuses to losing to us to be because of a star being injured. Way sweeter to do it against a healthy team.

Don't understand why people care what fans of media say if your team beats another team, short handed or not, you play who is in front of you.

If load management means we get better ball in the playoffs and careers last longer, then I’m all for it.

But it hasn't meant that. It seems we've had more injuries to star players in the playoffs the last three years than ever before.

How do you get around teams/players claiming there are legit injuries they need to sit for? I know some of the time it's pretty obvious when it's rest, but if someone like Paul George is out with an injury and Kawhi decides to rest on a B2B, how does the league deal with that? Will teams start strategically using injuries as excuses when they see B2Bs on the schedule? Will they rest a guy an entire week of games now in advance and say it's a hamstring injury? I know these are maybe extreme examples, but it just seems like the league can't really do anything if the team files an injury report in place of rest.

Can he re-sign here? I forget what the CBA says about that.

I'm not at all surprised they cut Payne. He hasn't been coy about not wanting to be there and he's not much of a fit for what they're doing right now anyway.
He can't re-sign in Phoenix, and I wouldn't want him to either. Nice guy, but it's time to move on.
