He also was active in the community and a fan favorite. He would have far more entertaining to watch in a suit sitting on the bench than watching the other crap that we have had on the court. The closest we have got to replacing him is when we drafted Markieff or was it when we traded for Marcus or was it Warrick, Turkoglu, Childress or Earl Clark. I almost forgot Beasley. By the way. I would not be surprised to see Mike D'Antoni turn Beasley into a very productive member of the Rockets next year. Yeah Mike is the other one most of you guys trash all the time. It was just horrible having to watch our team win 58 games every year. Sarver did the right thing in that move as well. As soon as we told Mike what to do we instantly starting winning championships. OH wait, that did not happen either. Sarver has been just a fantastic owner.

I repeat it has proved to be a dumb move when we did not match the Knick offer. It was an even dumber move not to sign him up this summer.

I wish Amare well in Israel and if I were him I would tell Sarver to stick it up his ass if he were to call and offer him a spot in the ring of honor.

Hopefully Bender or Chriss will finally be the Amare replacement we have been waiting for, I certainly hope so.

On the Amare front, what I see is if we match it is Part II Penny. Granted the players signed or traded for were trash, but that's not what makes letting Amare go a better or worse move.

The contract he signed with NYK was horrendous. It was one of the few bright things Sarver did not to re-sign him.
Then he went a pissed away the money on J-Chill and Hedo. Should of been a straight rebuild....but On the topic of Amare's contract, The suns medical staff accurately predicted his decline from microfracture.

That is true in the sense that everyone has at least some value. There is no way to justify paying a player 100M to be an average player and only play in half the games.

Why not? We payed the same amount of money over the same years to other more horrible players that produced and played just as little. Sorry, this "win" you just assigned as law is not nearly as clear cut a fact as you would wish to believe. I have to agree with JWB completely on this one. The money is wasted regardless (salary cap minimums and all) and again, JWB nailed with how much more merch Amare sells compared to the pu pu platter we replaced him with.

We have never once attempted a rebuild. We got the shitty record, but not because we rebuilt properly. Sarver has never wanted to rebuild and has attempted a retool on the fly every step of the way. Its just embarrassingly bad, the moves he made to give Steve his final shot those last 2 years. It would have been better to not even try and go into complete rebuild then. Keeping Grant Hill and Nash and giving them absolutely nothing to attempt to win with (coming off a god damn WCF appearance) and then disrespecting them right out the door afterward.... then the "rebuild" with bledsoe and dragic (who was cool enough to come BACK here).... and was then shown the exact same amount of respect as the other old-tenured Suns.

Garbage ass front office has ruined anything familiar or fun associated with the Suns.

I can agree on many of those things, but giving Amare 100M is not one of them.
