On a side note it left way to much time on the clock.
Was basically the play Portland burned us with to force OT 2 nights ago.
With the ladyman playing Warren's role.

You can't win the game with Booker scoring all your points!

What the hell was NO doing at the end of overtime?

We had a defensive lineup of Bledsoe-Knight-Booker-Warren-Tucker and they didn't give the ball to Davis. This place would lose it's shit if the Suns did that.

And rightly so. It doesn't matter how good our d was, there's no way Stephenson, Hield, Moore AND Jones should be getting more FG attempts than Davis, with Galloway just 1 behind. That's absurd. (And I get that he had 12 FT attempts, so that figure is slightly misleading, but Davis went for multiple trips down the floor without touching the ball, let alone shooting it. Great for us, but silly by them).

Most of the 4th, too. NOP had a lineup out there that would rather shoot than pass, and Tucker made the entry pass difficult enough to keep them from even trying. He gave them the excuse not to pass, so to speak.

The Suns wouldn't have won this one if the Pels played smarter basketball. Of course, that's the problem with this Pels team every night.

Booker with the HORSE shot. That was wild.
EJ's comment there was hilarious. "When you're 0-5, just everything happens to you."

Things you read on .net after a Suns win:

"I'm tired of our players, I wish coach would sit them."
"Coach isn't maximizing our talent."
"The youngest player in the league could have done as much."
etc

Come on guys. Enjoy the win. You don't want to lose to a team playing this badly. You'll have plenty of other loses to get those ping pong balls.

Yeah, nobody is mentioning that PJ Tucker did a heck of a job fronting him tonight.
So true. PJ gets crapped on a lot here this season, but he's such a good soldier. His size and strength and defensive savvy were really valuable in this game. It's a luxury to have a vet like PJ who just brings his hard hat to every game. I do want Warren to get a ton of minutes, but having PJ around just soaks toughness and work ethic into our whole roster. He's a great veteran to have around.

Word. This was a fun OT buzzer-beater win. Let's just try to enjoy it.

yup.

Booker went off like a Roman candle in a gasoline station. Chandler and Len corralled 28 boards. Warren struggled in the field, but got to the FT line for 9-11. Bledsoe was solid. And Tucker was an X-factor with 7 boards and the team's only two blocks.

Man, when Booker eventually leaves this franchise, those will be some properly-sized shoes to fill.

You can call me out directly.

You know I can simultaneously be thrilled and enjoy the win as well as be critical of the choices of the coach and direction of the franchise, right? They aren't mutually exclusive. Even Bright Side wrote a post today about not playing the rookies so we can get a few wins: http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2016/ ... or-of-wins

I would just like to see our number 4 pick out there getting some burn and less of Tucker and Knight.

The interesting thing is that Watson has started playing them together. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

And I hate it. Warren is not a PF and although Tucker guarded Davis o.k. last night it's going to be a lot to ask of him to do it every night. I wonder if part of it is Watson just trying to build Tucker's value back up? I don't know.

Yeah, it was great to see Booker finally go off like that. His shot was wet. I look forward to many more nights like that for D Book.

Bite your tongue. He is ours. He's not going anywhere. If you're talking about his retirement, OK then.

I didn't mean you personally, Carey. Or, not just you. A lot of us are frustrated because we want to see the rookies play more. Others are so fed up with ownership / management that we can't see good in anything. I count myself in both groups over the summer. But now that the season has started, I've decided to root for the players on the court, even if I spent the whole summer calling for them to be traded. The simple reality is, we aren't going to play a regular rotation going 12 deep. No matter who we play, somebody who should get minutes is going to sit. So I'm just going to root for whoever is on the court.

It's like a TV show. Bender and Ulis are two of my favorite characters, and I'm tired of episodes in which they appear very little or not at all. I hope the writers have something bigger planned for them.

And Knight needs to be written out of the series. Does anybody actually like watching him? He ruins almost every scene he appears in.
