Wow! I just finished watching the game. I can’t believe they won that game. Thank you Alvin Gentry! How can you not be proud of them? I can’t believe they just let Anthony Davis sit on the bench in a super close game because he got his official allotted minutes.

They don't play him in the 4th any more. I feel bad for the NO fans. AD has lost a lot of respect from me.

Dragan Bender is good, and we should re-sign him.

A couple more thoughts on the finish:
The Suns were handed
three possessions in a row, without the Pelicans possessing the ball inbounds, until the defensive rebound as the clock ran out.
If Jackson does not miss that last free throw, the Pelicans could have hit a game-tying three off a baseball pass. It's a good thing we had a poor free throw shooter at the line.

I wouldn’t mind offering [Bender] a low-priced contract to find out.
Agreed.

Bender can stay for the league minimum, but I’m not offering more than that.

I’m really impressed with how few mistakes Bender makes. His impact is relatively low but the risk is also low.

I'd be ok with that approach.

Sad stat time: in his last 15 games, 11 as a starter, Dragan is a combined 1-4 FT.

I realize that the Suns are just about the worst possible place for him to have been drafted, but I think it's a bad idea to pay him anything more than the minimum for simply being more aggressive for the last 30 games of the season.
He'll probably go to the Spurs and win the MIP award.

Know what else? He made four his entire rookie season (on 11 attempts). It took until his 27th game to make his first.

In order to have any cap space at all, we have to renounce the rights to Bender. So I think we can really only sign him to the minimum...

Any interest in bringing Elfrid Payton back?

It’s not crazy...not sure he would come back...I’ve thought about rondo too.

Rondo would be a terrible idea.

Maybe...if you can get him to buy in and play hard, he can orchestrate an offense and he’s turned himself into a respectable spot up shooter. He’s been in the 36% range from 3 since leaving Boston.
Also, this would just be a 1 year deal kinda thing
