I really like Ayton and don’t like KATs style of play as a big man, but if that was an option I’d do it. If Minny insists on attaching Wiggins contract I would say no

KAT is just wishful thinking. Our only chance would be if Ayton turns into a star. And at that point, we’d probably just keep Ayton. KAT is under contract for 4.5 years, he’s a top 12 guy and he’s only 23. Would take a massive haul to get him. Would you offer Ayton, Mikal, Cam, and 3 1sts? That’s what it’s gonna take.

I think we could offer the most compelling package but I assume Minny would prefer to send him East.

Agree. If they come to a conclusion they want to move on, I don’t think there will be a more attractive package out (not even close) than Ayton and a pick.

I agree we could offer the best package. Ayton, Frank, Tyler, Bridges, Jerome for KAT and Covington work salary-wise. Add 2 or 3 picks in there and see who can beat it.
Not saying this exact deal but it’s a structure of one.

I’d prefer to offer Oubre instead of Bridges.
With KAT and Booker, the priority for players around them absolutely has to be defense (Bridges) and not wildly inconsistent shooters with questionable defense (Oubre)

KAT and Covington for TJ, Oubre, Ayton, first round pick

I think it would be more that KAT came to the conclusion he wants out and tells them so.

I’m asking for Culver or Okogie too if you’re including Oubre and a pick.

Probably somewhere between the two. I would expect at least 2 first round picks to go along with good players on rookie contracts.
Ayton, 2020 and 2022 first rounder, plus Cam and TJ (for salary match/relief)? I realized Kelly can't be traded until January 14th. I would think they would want him more than Cam. Or maybe in addition?

Sauce would probably give them our two bums Booker and Oubre plus five 1st-rounders.

2 or maybe 3 EC teams come to mind...The Knicks have some young players, expiring deals and picks to put together a nice package. So something like Dennis Smith Jr, Mitch Robinson, Morris/Portis (or Randle if Minny wants him), plus picks and whatever other young players they want within reason (Frank, Trier, Knox).
Orlando could do something around Jonathan Isaac.
It would just depend on how Minny would want to rebuild.

Ayton is far superior than any of those.
I mean it’s not even close.

I think so, especially if we include other young players and picks. I hope we wouldn't include Cam, but if that's what it would take to get KAT, you have to consider it.

He could be...hasn’t shown a whole lot yet. Probably the best bet as a centerpiece, but I think Isaac could end up having a better career in the modern nba.
