Idk about that, but it does change the claim that they refused to hand over 7 hrs of WH calls. Anything beyond that, is your guess.

So now, Stephanie Clifford has been ruled to have to pay Trump a total of over $500K after 2 separate rulings. Interesting how this turned around.
Stormy Daniels must pay $300k to Donald Trump after losing defamation case appeal
“I will go to jail before I pay a penny,” the adult film actor tweeted after an appeals court ruled against her.

Adult film star Stormy Daniels has lost her appeal in her failed defamation suit against Donald Trump — leaving her owing almost $300,000 in legal fees to the former president.
"I will go to jail before I pay a penny," Daniels tweeted Monday after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against her in the long-running case.
Trump hailed the ruling by the appeals court, which he often bashed as president, calling it "a total and complete victory and vindication for, and of me."
Michael Avenatti filed the defamation suit against Trump in 2018, when he was Daniels' lawyer. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said in a statement Tuesday that Avenatti had filed the suit "without my permission and against my wishes."
"Once it was filed, Trump's lawyers overwhelmed Avenatti and I was left the victim of an attorney's fee award," she added, calling it a "sad reality" that a "predator" like Trump "can openly brag about assaulting women and become president and be awarded money for his bad behavior."
Michael Cohen, then a lawyer for Trump, paid Daniels $130,000 before the 2016 presidential election to remain silent about a sexual encounter she alleged she had had with the married Trump in 2006.
Trump has denied the encounter happened, and he did so again in his statement Monday. "As I have stated many times throughout the years, I never had an affair with Stormy Daniels, nor would I ever have wanted to," he said.
After news of the hush money payment became public, Daniels said she was menaced and warned to keep quiet about the allegation in 2011, when a man approached her while she was with her infant daughter in Las Vegas and told her to "leave Trump alone."
She said the man then looked at her daughter and said: "That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom."
Daniels and Avenatti released a sketch of the man in 2018, which Trump mocked on Twitter.
“A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!” Trump tweeted.
Daniels' lawsuit called Trump's tweet "false and defamatory."
"Mr. Trump knew that his false, disparaging statement would be read by people around the world, as well as widely reported, and that Ms. Clifford would be subjected to threats of violence, economic harm, and reputational damage as a result," it said.
A federal judge in California, however, sided with Trump and found that the tweet “constitutes ‘rhetorical hyperbole’ normally associated with politics and public discourse in the United States.”
“The First Amendment protects this type of rhetorical statement,” Judge James Otero wrote, finding that Trump was entitled to attorneys’ fees in the case.
The 9th Circuit upheld the ruling Friday, finding in part that Daniels had waited too long to challenge the lower court's ruling. In her statement Tuesday, Daniels blamed Avenatti for the delay.
Daniels' new attorneys did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Avenatti was found guilty this year of wire fraud and identity theft for wrongly pocketing about $300,000 of the $800,000 advance Daniels was paid for her book, “Full Disclosure.”
He was also convicted in 2020 of extortion, wire fraud and transmission of interstate communications with intent to extort in connection with threats he made against Nike, the sports equipment and apparel giant. Last year, a federal judge sentenced him to 2½ years behind bars for those crimes.

I don't think those phone logs are "complete." They are completely missing over 7 hours of content, most of the day in question. There's simply no way the White House made and received zero calls during that time. And I thought I read that there were at least 1-2 examples already of people who showed that they had called the WH that day during that 7-hour window and that those calls were not shown in the record. I don't have a citation for it, but let's wait and see what comes out.

Let's not wait and see, let's report that there are 7 hrs Nixon style missing logs. That's the most honest thing to do.

Trump had 25 documented phone calls between 8:30 am and 10:30 am. Then he didn’t have another call all day for 7 hours during the insurrection? Mark Meadows says he called Trump and they had a well documented argument during that time but, I guess that was fake news. Trumps daughter says she called him and tried to get him to step in and call off the attack. I guess that didn’t happen either. Trump tried to call Sen. Tommy Tuberville but called Sen. Mike Lee instead. There is no record of that happening now either. During the insurrection Trump didn’t have one phone call to anyone. Sure…

Did you actually read the article? Or are you sleuthing your own conspiracy theory?
Could there be other phones that didn't go through the White House terminal? I have no doubt. Not sure what gotcha you are pining for though.

I did read the article. Most likely burner phones to keep their conversations on the down low but, then again Trump has never heard of a burner phone he says. Bolton says Trump knows what burner phones are because they had conversations about them. They are investigating the Jan 6 attack on the Capital and want to know who said what when. Who organized it? What were Trumps conversations with people during the day? My own conspiracy theory is that Trump had all kinds of conversations that day and he would like to keep all of them private.

I wouldn't trust Bolton if he told me it was sunny in Phx in the summer.
There is going to be at least a few hours missing, as Trump wasn't even at the White House for a time period during the speeches and his speech at the rally.

Why would there "be at least a few hours missing" from the White House phone logs? Would there be over 7 hours that day with literally no phone records? If so, why?

He was at the rally for quite awhile before he even spoke. So he wasn't in the White House.
Reading the CNN article it talks about how the President didn't use the WH phone to make calls very often while in the Oval Office

Why are you so supportive of a guy that scammed you out of money, is openly racist, sexist, and xenophobic, and a liar? Would you want any of your kids to be any of those things?

I'd rather keep this above board, and at least keep the reporting truthfully. I do seem to be pointing out inaccuracies in attempted slander, so it seems I'm supportive of the guy. You want to slander him with facts, I won't argue them. Just keep it fair is all I ask.
I'd give you the benefit of the doubt, but you were also quick on the Nixon comment. And could you not mention my kids in your comments, especially when you don't know me, never met me, never met my kids, and don't know what kind of wonderful boys they are?

The guy couldn't even make money in the casino business, so no surprise here.
I don't understand why people are continually fooled over and over and over again by this charlatan.

There are some problems with it's release so far that I can see. Probably more that I can't see yet, since I'm not on Truth Social.
1. You can only get it in the Apple store, so it's not available for those with Androids or even online.
2. The wait line to get in is huge for Apple users, due to supposedly "vetting". The problem with that is that they let people in that were further back in the line, so it doesn't make sense from a number standpoint.
3. They were supposed to not allow bots or users to create several different accounts to get past being a troll or propping up people to help with real numbers. This hasn't been the case, since there have been several that have been called out for doing just this.
4. They also aren't supposed to allow impersonators to hijack personas, but this is happening too.
5. Until they fix those problems that they promised, you aren't going to see huge numbers continue to go over there yet.

Thanks for the fair critical analysis of the platform, In2. I hadn't heard some of that. Sometimes having an "exclusive" site where it's hard to get an account can be helpful to generate buzz, to create that impression that it's special to get onto the platform. And there may be some of that here. But I also get the sense that some of this is unforced error on the part of the platform's creators. They haven't handled the launch and growth of the platform perfectly so far. Maybe they'll figure it out and get to a stable and healthy state. We'll see. It is not easy to launch a new social media platform; much easier to say "let's all leave (Twitter / Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / whatever) and make our own" than to actually do it at scale. I have only rarely had to build software to handle huge amounts of traffic, and it is very very easy to get it wrong and have major setbacks.

The bad news about Truth Social comes at time where it's interesting that Elon Musk just became the largest share holder in Twitter at 9.2%. After it was reported that he made this purchase, the stock shot upward.

That is not an official CIA account’: Trump’s social media platform is filled with fake government profiles
Trump's platform is littered with fake government accounts.
https://www.dailydot.com/debug/truth-so ... officials/
Former President Donald Trump’s troubled social media platform can add one more problem to its list of woes: Fake government accounts. Impersonators on Truth Social grabbed handles used by law enforcement agencies, branches of the military, and federal officials.
The Daily Dot found more than a dozen accounts on Truth Social whose handles match those government entities and representatives use on their verified Twitter accounts. These include the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Justice Department, United States Navy, United States Army, New York City Police Department (NYPD), the White House, the President of the United States, the White House Press Secretary, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Treasury Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the State Department. In Truth Social’s defense, none of these accounts are verified.
The account uses the same avatar as the NYPD’s Twitter account and has posted as if it is actually the NYPD.
There are clues that it’s inauthentic. It follows just two accounts: Trump and Donald Trump Jr. NYPDNews recently welcomed Trump Jr. when he finally joined the app. “We are here with you,” it wrote, along with a balloon emoji.
The NYPD confirmed that it doesn’t control this account.
“That is not an official NYPD social media account,” NYPD spokesperson Jessica McRorie told the Daily Dot via email on Friday.
The Navy, Army, FBI, CIA, State Department, and Justice Department also confirmed that their agencies don’t control the Truth Social accounts using their Twitter handles. “This is not an official CIA account,” an agency spokesperson told the Daily Dot via email.
“We’ve contacted the company to have it taken down,” a Navy spokesperson told the Daily Dot via email on Friday. “The Navy does not have a presence on Truth Social currently.”

Yeah, that's not supposed to be allowed, but it clearly is happening. That's a Big Red Flag and needs to be cleaned up. How can anyone trust it, if it's allowing things that it claims it wasn't going to allow? Like Mori said, these are pains of initial rollouts. Twitter didn't have these problems, as it was an unknown, could grow organically and no one had expectations with experience in it, just hope of what it could become.
