Games 4 and 5 were rough…Game 5 was the worst for me. That’s the game that won the Bucks the series. Like we shot 55/68/91 as a team for a TS of .648 and lost. We only had 8 turnovers and were not killed on the glass(11 oreb to 8). Milwaukee(especially their role guys) just had the games of their lives all at the same time.

They shot 58/50/53 but took 10 more 3s. Brook, Connaughton, Tucker, and Portis went a combined 8/13 from 3. That was the only game in the series won by a road team. Jrue was also great in this game after mostly struggling in the previous 4.
Game 5 was brutal. I spent a bunch of money to fly out, just for the day, to see the game in person. Paid for tickets for myself, my wife, my best bud from school days, and my parents (!) to all drive up together from Tucson. We had a real nice time of it, but then having to watch the Bucks tear our heart out, knowing that they'd probably win the series, was a gut punch.

I went back to watch it, too. I was wrong about it being too high. you are right there--it was too low. DA didn't grab it, and he easily could have. He only had 2 fingers on it in his right hand.

But I should say that it is an amazing play by Giannis, and he deserves all the credit here.

Trigger Warning!
Spoiler: show/hide
BTW, that was my heart attack game. Thanks a lot, Giannis!!! Talk about a trigger warning.
oh shit I forgot it was that game. sorry Sup!
Ha! No, it's all good. I'm totally recovered and in better shape than in a long time. I can laugh about it now.

Look at that wrist angle and proximity to the rim. I still think that was close to being an injury.

EJ is always saying to dunk it so hard that the defender will be scared to put his hand up there.

Wow, that is a powerful freeze frame. As much bitterness as I have for the Bucks, I'm glad it didn't injure Giannis's hand.

Wilt once rocketed the ball so hard on a dunk that it broke the toe of a player standing beneath the hoop....

So many classic Wilt stories. I remember when he won the slam dunk competition with a blindfold and barefeet. Dude was a legend.

Game 5 was the most money I have ever spent in 1 day that wasn't buying property.

I spent more on my wedding, and on buying some cars. But yeah, I haven't had many days where I dropped that much cash all at once. It was fun, but overall the economics of going to just one NBA game are pretty stupid and ridiculous.

I think I dropped 25 times the most I had ever spent on single game tickets previously. Literally. But yeah, my last car cost 10 times more.

That is why I said property and not real estate. I have spent more on cars and houses in a single purchase, but that is it. Not my wedding. Not any single day of my 15th anniversary trip, or a European vacation. It was, at that time, a once in a lifetime opportunity. And I hope I get to do it again (with a different result!).

Gotcha. I spent more on a vacation package but that's about it. And right back atcha about hoping to do it again. If they make the Finals, I WILL be going to at least one game in Phoenix. And if they have a chance to close out the Finals at home, I will be at that game.

I don't know when this will stop being funny, but I fear it might be when Ayton actually bites someone's ankles.

I am not accustomed to your new avatar yet, but the Animal House references always give you away. :)
