Thread has 5 or 6 examples of JJJ getting credited with stats incorrectly.

Can’t our guys do that for Ayton? Boost up his trade value haha

The Grizzlies have lost 5 straight games.
I wonder if a team has ever had such extreme streaks before in the same season? Won 12 in a row and now have lost 5 in a row.

And the JJJ stats thing is serious business. Not just for pumping his stats but like you said, the gambling aspect.

In a more general sense, I worry a lot about the deep entrenchment that gambling has made into the NBA and sports in general. Every NBA podcast and show is full of ads for Fanfuel or whatever betting site. The hosts openly talk about money lines and parlays and what a great deal you can get, wow, Denver is only +3.5 at home? Gotta get on that right now, it's a lock! There's a LOT of money flowing around in this stuff. When are we going to get our first official major scandal where we discover that a player, coach, team, etc. are shaving points, manipulating the game, based on gambling results? When are we going to find that somebody has been bribed? When do we get the next Donaghy? I think it's coming in the next 3-5 years.

Unfortunately, I think you're right. Gambling has pervaded the game and the NBA has embraced it. It gets more viewers involved just watching to see if they're players will win their parlays.

Interesting chart. I know Mikal is basically a cyborg and never gets tired. But I'm a little worried that we have been playing him the second-most minutes in the league.

He led the league in minutes played last year. I think he’s fine, he has been playing very well lately.

Maybe it's the opposing statisticians who are holding his numbers back?!?!? The home-road variance is sus.

It’s not as much as Woj made it seem. Adds 17 mil this year to make it 35, then 21 and 20 the next two.

That's amazing that they could add that much to his salary THIS year.

They still had the remaining cap space after their RFA offer to Ayton was matched. Pretty savvy deal by the Pacers as the next two seasons are very team friendly.

I'm sure everyone has seen this a million times, but it's too hilarious to not post here.

Ah, you hate to see a Pat Bev Lakers team lose like that. I loved how PB had a stupid foul at the end of regulation to allow the Celtics to tie the game.

I still fully expect a post-AllStar run for a 4-6 seed. I think we'll be safely ahead of the Warriors, Wolves, and Dallas. The Clips' health is always the x-factor. I'm fine as a lower seed going against a team like the Nuggets early on while teams like the Pels and Clips beat each other up. I think we've been resting/holding guys back for a late season run after learning our lesson the past two years trying to win every single game. We may try to jockey for playoff position too, which is something we've refused to do as well. It's chess, not checkers this season.

I forgot about this early game y'day
Would have watched because of all the constant Embiid v Joker debate

With that always a subplot and the recent All Star announcement
Wow.....

It was a great game, Embiid dominated in the 2nd half and putting PJ on Jokic really flustered him.
