When it felt like he brought it 50% of the time, it was clearly justified. There are guys that love the game and love to compete. There are guys that have the physical gifts to play but think of it as a way to get paid and have fun. Ayton was clearly the latter. The fact that you don't get it just like he never got it speaks volumes as to why you're constantly aligned to him.

I got sick and tired of him calling himself Dominayton. When he wouldn't dominate shit most nights. Imagine being his teammate watching him play Charmin soft regularly and say shit like that. Especially guys like Booker and KD that fucking eat, sleep and shit basketball.
Jeremy thinks Ayton was dominant so what do any of us expect. Of course he's going to praise him like the 2nd coming and take issue with us criticizing Ayton and his maddening effort. His self perceived dominance and Tesla motor effort that never stops.
It was never that difficult. All we ever wanted was for him to grow the fuck up, be a man and play with consistent effort every night.

It's getting to be silly, with people calling him our point guard, as if he's Jokic or Draymond, when he has a career average of 2.3 assists per game. I'm just saying people are going to be disappointed if they are expecting more from him than he is going to provide.

It sucks. We have to deal with this Ayton shit every thread now. We get excited about the team, about the abilities of Nurkic and it gets twisted into "but he's not that good at 'x', no better than Ayton who we all slandered for years". I could care less how we regard Nurkic. We just know that he operates a lot out of the high post passing to cutters or diving into the lane for buckets. He’ll still probably get 10 shots a game, perhaps a couple low post shots, driving or diving into the lane, and a few 3 pt shots. Solid enough add wrinkles in the offense so it’s not just Beal, Book, and KD iso-ing. If he gets us 3 assists and 3 screen assists per game, that’s doing his part in the offense.
I hope Book has worked on his handles this summer, I’m a little nervous how he gets defended this season.

No one thinks Nurkic is Jokic or Draymond. We’ve called him a bigger Saric…that’s where expectations are.
