I'm really annoyed the Mavs were able to significantly upgrade their rotation. I wasn't worried about them at all before today.

We’re both pretty much locked into being back half of the west teams though…pretty unlikely we’d face them in the playoffs. Won’t happen in the 1st round and quite unlikely we both win and advance to round 2 or 3

No one on available to the Suns on the buyout market really moves the needle, IMO.

I think there's a decent chance no one else is signed and Azubuike and Lee are moved off of their 2-way contracts.

I get that it'll be tough to break into the top 4, but it's way too early to project seeding right now and no one should be shocked if a lower seed wins in the first round this year.

I do like Thad as a small ball 5 option. He might not be a regular rotation guy, but he can do some of the Nurk playmaking stuff and still provide some semblance of size. He’s old and probably can’t be relied on for much though.

We’ll see who all gets bought out though.

It is early…I’d just be surprised if any of the top 4 fall to 5 or lower.

I do think Dallas made a couple nice moves. Gafford/Lively is a great center combo and it’s nice to have a backup in case the rookie isn’t ready. Not sure who will start. PJ is better than Grant. They did move a decent amount of draft capital and are actually in a very similar position as us as far as draft assets now.

My comment about Dallas was only in the context of this season.

They had massive holes in the front court and wing defense and adequately resolved both issues. Now I think they could beat anyone in a series while before I thought they were dead in the water against any top team.
