Klay to the Mavericks on a 3 year deal. Not too worried as he looked pretty washed last year.

Dallas went from Josh Green, DJJ, and THJ to Naji and Klay…they were better last year.

I like Naji and Klay better tbh, Green and DJJ are replaceable and Klay will do what THJ did but better. I hate that Dallas keeps improving around Luka, blarg.

Meh…I don’t think Klay is good

His only job is gonna be shoot 3s, yes defensively he's regressed, but still shot 39% from 3 last year. Now he's just gotta replace THJ as a shooter, should be a solid upgrade. I do wish the Suns could've gotten in on Green somehow.

Klay is still a great shooter, but he's really not the same player he was before the injuries and he's 34 now so it's likly he is what he is.

Dallas was pretty good this year, but they were sort of like the Diamondbacks in that they got hot at the right time. I'm still putting them behind Oklahoma City, Minnesota and Denver, and right alongside the Suns, Clippers, Pelicans and Lakers.

Klay is better than THJ, I agree…I just think losing Green and DJJ hurt too

I don't understand these takes. He rebounds and blocks shots. His last two years in Orlando he shot 38% and 39% from on over 2 attempts per game, and that's not "particularly successful"?!

The complaints in Philly were he commits bad fouls and gets lost on defense.

The Suns seem determined to have their centers play a role in facilitating the offense, which is one of the reasons why I think they brought in Plumlee (who I like). If that's the case, Bamba probably wouldn't work here. But I would love have a long center on a minimum contract who rebounds, blocks shots, and stretches the floor. Keep his role to those things and he'd be fine.
That's what I meant by playing hard. His head isn't in the game enough and it comes across as a lack of competitiveness.

I just didn't want him as the only big behind Nurkic. I wouldn't mind him in the Bol Bol role, but we already have a Bol Bol.

Klay is just a shooter at this point but even that can be streaky sometimes. There was games this year where you could build a house with the bricks he was throwing up.

I thought around $15M/year would be where it was of value to find out if Klay can still be really good.

There will be a lot of pressure to win in Dallas and he'll be viewed as the 3rd option, which I think isn't ideal for him or the Mavs.

$5 million a year is an overpay for Eubanks.
Almost everybody in the NBA is overpaid these days. :P Man, what a time to be an elite athlete! They are handing out money like water in the 2020s.
The owners ain't doing half bad either.
