Oh wait. I totally forgot Wes Matthews decided to go there. Yeah they are now capped out. That's it.

Wth do they expect to do w/ that team? Harris/Felton-Matthews-Parsons-Dirk-DAJ? Perennial 8th seed & you're capped out. Carlisle deserves a bit better frankly. Would love to see him coach OKC. He could probably win 10 championships w/ Cleveland.

They're building around a core of Matthews/Parsons/DJ. Like I said on RealGM, gross.

Especially if you don't know if Matthews can play. Which you don't. He's only 3 months removed from having his achilles burst like a balloon. :(

^Don't forget that Parsons just had microfracture knee surgery.

Would the Knicks have enough cap space to still sign LMA, now that they got Lopez? That is the C he played next to in Portland. Carmelo could slide to the 3. Just curious if anyone knows the cap situation for NYK after the Lopez signing...

Hmm. Did he ever confirm that's what it was? The only thing I could find was a non-answer: http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/ ... ning-camp/

If so, that's a lot of money spent for a) a guy who is old af, b) a guy coming off an achilles tear, c) a guy coming off micro fracture, and d) a guy who is just as offensively limited as Chandler.

Yes, they only have Anthony, Calderon, and some rookie deals. The $13M for Lopez wouldn't effect much. Still I don't think that roster is appealing because there's nothing else and they would be capped.

Calderon-?-Carmelo-LMA-Slowpez? I dunno. That seems worse than Dallas to me.

Knicks only have about 6-7mil left. They're giving Afflalo 8mil, Lopez 13, and they had 28 to start. They're talking to Derrick Williams and Corey Brewer today.

And LMA wants to be the face of the franchise, which you can bet Anthony won't concede. LMA doesn't want to play with Melo. Most other stars don't either.

I forgot Afflalo. That's a good signing. Are you sure that number is correct? Hoopshype has a different number with some waivable deals on there too.

So DeAndre Jordan agreed to Dallas.

Mavericks need a point guard now. Anyone sold on Raymond Felton ?

I'm not sure what the waivable deals are or the intricacies of cap holds or signing guys/draft picks in certain order to maximize space. But they had about 28 mil in capspace to start from everything I heard/read.

DeAndre Jordan is a big "get" for them, to be sure. But I don't like their core overall and think it'll be a tough transition for them when Dirk leaves. I guess at least they are doing whatever they can to put a competitive team around Dirk to end his career. But I really don't get that Matthews signing just after he exploded his Achilles. I doubt he'll be able to be his old self ever again, and certainly not next year. It just seems like blown money to me. I could see Portland paying that to keep him, but not another team paying him that to steal him despite his injury.

I don't really get Jordan leaving the Clippers. Seemed like a perfect situation for him and they were willing to pay him big bucks.

Rumor has it he and Paul dont get along.. Which is surprising to nobody, dude acts like he's Kobe and he's won less the Mike Beasley.

LOL !

Clippers lost DeAndre and had already traded Spencer Hawes. They have a big hole at center.

Maybe they can sign Earl Barron. I hear the advanced metrics really shine for him.
