Truly. Use the LA nightlife etc to sell a bball free agent, and then let Kobe talk. Worst way to recruit a FA.

NY made the same mistake in 2010. These guys don't need to be sold on the market and nightlife. It's 2015, not 1985. You're not showing these guys anything they haven't already seen or done already or can have access to in a matter of minutes.

Who said nightlife exactly? I figured it was endorsements & whatnot. "Outside opportunities."
Go Suns!

You mean kobe givo g a speech about learning to win from him isnt enticing enough? Atleast he showed up for this meeting
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

The big sell for us here with LMA, I think, would be that our core will still be here and be good during the rest of LMA's prime and good years. In SA it'd be great to be there for about 1-2 years, but then everybody else but Kawhi will be gone. Then what? And even Coach Pop might be out by then. And SA isn't particularly sexy to free agents. And despite winning the title in 2014, they were a 1st-round out in the playoffs this year. The Suns can legitimately say that they were only a few wins away from that same fate. SA's future is very murky and I'd be hesitant to sign there if I were a big FA.

The other big perk would be our training staff. I bet Chandler loves that about the idea of playing here. They can keep him on the floor and add years to his game. We have the best in the league. LMA has to be thinking about that as well especially after being in Portland, probably the most cursed franchise as far as injuries go. That'd be like night and day.

I still don't think our team is a contender with LMA and Chandler, but it's definitely a playoff team, and maybe in a year, a home-court-advantage (top-4 seed) team with a legit shot.
