Why can't this guy just ever act like a normal person? The President is supposed to unite America, and on holidays this bozo always tweets out some vile vomit like this. He treats so many of his fellow Americans as his hated enemies.

A Maga rally in a Black church and 90+% of the people are white? I’m guessing not many people from that church are actually in attendance. It looks like they held a Maga political rally in a church and Maga showed up while everyone that goes to that church stayed home. I really pisses me off when churches become political. I didn’t know god was a Republican. Pastors all over the country seem to be political leaders more than religious ones. If you go to their church you better be a Trump fan because Trump is gods chosen one.
In the same vein, my mom thinks the Republicans have taken over the American flag and that if she waves one out in front of her house, people are going to think she's Republican.
It’s true. When I see an American flag flown at a house, I am 99% certain they are Republican.

I am pretty sure that turns a lot of people off. And I am pretty sure that turns on a lot of people.

Pretty sad statement, don't you think?

IMO if a church hosts a political rally, they should not be tax-exempt. Whether it's for a blue guy or a red guy.

You mean this as "isn't it sad that Democrats aren't patriotic?" But IMO the American flag has been taken over and corrupted by the GOP as a symbol. It doesn't stand for what it used to stand for. Now it mostly seems to stand for "I love Trump." The people who fly that flag all over their trucks and houses also usually have signs like "FJB" or "No to Joe and the Ho" or "MAGA". It's a weird perversion of a once proud American symbol. I do think Dems should try to "reclaim" the flag as being for everyone.

Well, I'll go step further. I don't think they should be tax exempt, period. I used to think it was good for them to be tax exempt, but don't think they should be any longer.

That we can agree on.

I grew up a proud American. I can’t say that I am proud to be an American today though. I do a pretty good job at singing Proud To Be An American and haven’t sung it since Trump came into politics. I love America but, I am definitely not proud of what it has become today. I see people flying the Trump flag, the American flag and the Don’t Tread On Me flag and I know they are Republicans. For me it’s almost like they are saying “We are the real Americans and you aren’t”. They are the real Americans but, they hate all US institutions and half its people, which makes them very much anti US to me.

It's very difficult to verify this, but similarly it's hard to dispute this also.

I don't agree with you all that the American flag is seen as Republican now. The American flag represents ALL of America whether the MAGA people like it or not.

Most polls have Trump getting somewhere around 15-19% of the Black vote. That is a noticeable increase from 2016, but, it's still a terrible overall percentage. By far, most Black voters strongly dislike Donald Trump. 15-19% disagree and like him. If I were getting 15-19% of a population's vote, I would not consider that a huge victory. Black women in particular are very unlikely to vote for Trump, fwiw; they are the most reliable part of the Dem coalition by percentage.

Revisiting this, as it still seems to be moving.

That is amazing that many young black voters have turned away from Biden and almost more amazing that in2 posted a CNN article instead of some dude on X. 😁

Well, technically it was a some dude posting from X but, it was a CNN video. I like the way the guy made the words he likes all caps for a better presentation.

Biden has lost a lot of younger white voters too. They say he is promoting genocide in Gaza and would prefer Trump because Hamas wouldn’t have attacked if Trump was President and even if they did Trump would not be backing Israel? Of course he would be backing Israel. The GOP is mad at Biden for not helping Israel more. Silly kids.

Tricks are for kids. Of course Trump backs Israel. He has already showed that. He and Biden are the same in that respect.

The kids are blaming Biden and apparently have no idea that Trump would not be any different. Knowing Trump he will give two speeches the same day. One telling the college kids that if he were President, no Palestinians would have been killed. The second speech to his base would be telling them how our support for Israel in this war is rock solid. Most likely the two different groups of people won’t notice the two different messages.

Of course. We already know Trump can and will say anything and his base will eat it up and won't see the hypocrisy.

Hmm, seems like this has hit a nerve with you. You can't help yourself with criticism of the post for silly reasons. Sad.

Silly reasons? I was just making my usual comments about the use of all caps in X posts.

“Trump was found GUILTY of TAX EVASION and RAPE! He was INDICTED on over NINETY counts in FOUR different jurisdictions!!!!!

And whatever reason would you have to post any thing here if it wasn’t to try to hit a nerve? I do find it sad that people are somehow conned into thinking Trump is anything but an evil con man.
