How did I not know Eric Gordon was Bahamian?
I thought he was born and raised in Indiana?

I had no idea, either! He played for Team USA in 2010 (winning the gold medal in the FIBA World Championship), so apparently he's a dual citizen. Wiki says:

"Gordon's mother, Denise, is a native of Nassau, Bahamas. Denise met Gordon Sr. at Liberty University where Gordon Sr. played basketball, and is still the school's 18th-leading scorer."

I’m definitely going to look out for those games. I want to see Ayton play FIBA basketball.
He was pretty dominant at the age of 17.

So we're all mentally preparing for the clip to come out where DA stone-hands a pass and then whiffs a soft ass layup against a 6'2" defender, right? That's a mortal lock to happen. We can choose whether we want to flip out about it or not.

Well, he was born and grew up in Indiana, but his parent's could be from the Bahamas. Maybe it's his go to off-season home?

NBA stars Deandre Ayton, Eric Gordon, Buddy Hield on Bahamas roster for Olympic qualifiers
Bahamas must win this tournament to qualify for another Olympic qualifier next summer.

[...]

Bahamas has never competed in the Olympics in men’s basketball. The Bahamian team is projected to be the strongest the country has ever had. Bahamas is coached by Golden State Warriors assistant coach Chris DeMarco and also includes U.S. college standouts.

We will certainly all dissect it and one of us will tell the rest why it happened and that there's a good reason for it.

Like his upside. Didn't know he was even available. Vogel might be able to unlock him a bit more. Seemed to always play with aggression which would be a nice change of pace if he earns minutes.

Udoka's a big dude listed at 6-11 270 with a 7-7 wingspan and the athleticism to go along with it. Throwback big, catch and dunk guy, shoots FTs about as well as Biyombo unfortunately. Not expecting much, but he's got some experience in the league with Utah. Could be a favor between the Bartlesteins. We just as easily could've given Trey Jemison the 2way deal.

Emergency front court beef if something happens to Ayton. Limited offensively but he’s usually a high effort guy who’s not going to go outside of his role. He’s better than the SL guy that a lot of us thought wasn’t too bad.

Just watched a scouting report on him. Interesting… he’s not super useful in the modern game but I guess he does fill a hole, a large body with length and intimidation. But he can’t defend in space at all so probably just a regular season banger who makes Ayton work in practice.

I remember this game and generally have fond memories of the Gerald Green experience.

That was a fun year other than setting the record for most wins without making the playoffs.
