A place for fans of the Phoenix Suns

Mostly when I’m thirsty for content during the height of free agency or draft. Is Flex leaving the valley? Did he catch a job closer to Suns broadcasting? He’s 90% annoying and has little to offer in conversation until he has some projection or scuttlebutt.
I’ve known a few guys in my life who have this incessant habit of passively talking themselves up or trying to project confidence in whatever they talk about. It’s what makes him annoying and untrustworthy —even though he probably means well. When guys like that become successful, it makes you scratch your head.carey wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:17 pmI think there's more under the hood there. Flex uprooted his entire family to move to Phoenix from Jersey. No one does that without some kind of contract. But once he got here he became born again into Christianity. If I'm reading between the lines that has more to do with it than anything else. They brough Flex in so Saul didn't have to be on camera as much since he runs the whole thing, but I think the whole vibe works better when it's just Espo, Gerald and Lindsey.
How did that happen? Did your son recover quickly?Superbone wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:16 amAl was there for my son when he got his face smashed into a basketball court by an overzealous opponent when he was in high school. He sent my son a nice email wishing him a speedy recovery. I am there for Al wishing him a speedy recovery as well. We need a place where we can all send Al our well wishes where he'll see it.
I've mentioned it before but an overly aggressive kid jumped on him and his head after he was already on the ground with the ball. It jammed his face into the ground and he lost a tooth and another split in half. He ended up having to get a tooth replacement in time. It's been well over 10 years now and he's fully recovered. But this reminded me of the time and how kind Al was.In2ition wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 12:45 pmHow did that happen? There was a kid that it happened to at my high school. It was right before the state playoffs. The kid went for a dunk and another over aggressive defender in practice pulled hom off the rim. They had his teeth marks in the floor for years. They lost him for the playoffs and fell short in the State Championship game to South Mountain. He would have made the difference.Superbone wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 2:39 pmI've mentioned it before but an overly aggressive kid jumped on him and his head after he was already on the ground with the ball.
