Just trade him for Illyasova and a lotto protected 1st. Illyasova is a starter and ending contact next summer. Then we can sign either Durant or Horford. Done deal.

Maybe that was McDonough's play all along. Give the Pistons Marcus and then they'll be forced to trade for Markieff at great expense.

I would love to move Markieff, Tucker, and Goodwin to Portland for Gerald Henderson, Noah Vonleh, and CJ McCollum.

SOLD! If only Pdx would do that. Maybe after the season gets going and their record is horrible, they'd be more open to big trades like that.

There is NO WAY Portland does that trade.

Yeah, I think Portland only does something like that if we also give up 1st rounders, probably multiple ones.

Vince Ellis wrote:I mentioned the Pistons interest in the other Morris twin earlier in the chat. They would definitely be interested in acquiring, but the Suns aren't interested currently and the asking price is high. Hearing a starter and a first to even get the Suns to listen.
So starter for starter from a talent standpoint, then a first to compensate for the bargain contract.
If true, McD seems totally unwilling to take a 'discount', which is not surprising given his trade history but maybe I'd like a little more flexible approach here.
Useful expiring and a pick/prospect could prove to be better for the team than holding onto a distracted/unmotivated Kieff, particularly if his mindset on the court is mainly 'getting his' in the mold of the old Z-Bo.

Ellis also said the Pistons are "monitoring the situation" with Keef in Phoenix. It sounds like they're unwilling to meet our asking price right now, but are hoping the situation will deteriorate to the point where our asking price drops.

Giving Kieff incentive to cause trouble? Sounds like tampering of sorts.

Condolences to Anne Meyers-Drysdale on the passing of her brother, Dave Meyers, a former All-American at UCLA (he was the captain of their 1975 championship team) and NBA player with the Milwaukee Bucks -

Wow. Had no idea he lived in my city:
Meyers died at his home in Temecula after struggling with cancer for the last year, according to UCLA, which received the news from his younger sister, Ann Meyers Drysdale.
