Didn't really like S2E8. These last 2 episodes have felt to artsy for me. I never liked Lost in Translation or Birdcage either. These episodes have had so much cinematography and really long, uncomfortable and awkward stares with extended silence.

Definitely feels like all tone, no substance…. I get why shows do this but hate when shows try to go back and fill in story elements that would have been better served in season 1. However…. The problem is, you put episodes like that in season 1, you’ll lose what made season 1 good. It’s a catch 22….

Cobel being the brains behind the severance technology comes out of nowhere. Nowhere previously did they give any indication that she was so technically gifted but it does make more sense now how she knew how to drill it out of Petey's corpse in S1. And maybe why she has a severance device on a chain around her neck. And why she was experimenting with Mark S and Miss Casey, seeing if love bled through the severance technology. I guess the more I "talk" about it, the more it makes sense.

You're so right. The story is good and the climactic moments were fun but way too much fluff forced to fill out a season worth of content

A lot of these shows have that midseason lull where they've set up a bunch of cool stuff in episodes 1-2 and then they dick around until episode 8 or 9 and then suddenly all the cool shit happens. It's annoying. Just make 5-6 episodes if you don't have enough good content.

I for one can handle the slower episodes like S2E8 of Severance (as I'm not in the TikTok generation like Saucy ). But last night I watched E9 and let's just say things are heating up!
