I think he's decided that he's ok being a role player. Shoot when open, move the ball, no more of this hero ball stuff.
Whether he can back it up we shall see, but I wonder how much Watson's coaching had to do with his decline. I'm with Carey.

Jesus ya'll are so negative and pessimistic. What does it hurt to hope that Knight plays well and rehabs his value? I guess we could cling on to bad history but... why?
I'm hoping he plays well - I'm not betting my life on it, but it would be a pleasant surprise.
I'm encouraged by what I'm reading. Apparently he had an attitude adjustment and has a new lease on life. I'm with you hoping for a pleasant surprise without taking any bets on the subject.
He is also playing for a team that has the point guard position WIDE open. He has Okobo and Harrison to beat out for the starting job. Got to admit though. He has never had a good coach the entire time he has been in the league.

Hope this increases his trade value some.
Imagine GMs around the league ruminating over the balance sheet.
CONS: One of the most ineffective players in the league the last couple of seasons he played. Coming off major knee injury. Makes $14M a season.
PROS: Worked out with the Suns Summer League team. Once complimented by Dwyane Wade. Has regular bowel movements.

Ariza’s deal does change the frontcourt dynamic. The Suns had talked about using rookie Mikal Bridges as a small-ball power forward but Phoenix’s plan now is to play Bridges primarily at small forward while sliding occasionally to shooting guard. The Suns could at times employ lineups that include Booker at point guard, Bridges at the two, Josh Jackson at small forward, with Ariza and Deandre Ayton up front. That would provide three shooters around Ayton to space the floor and give Phoenix the versatility to switch defensively.

Seeing as Koko said he'd prefer Booker to not play PG unless its in crunch time type situations, I can't see using the 4 wings at a time very often. Also Bridges shouldn't be a trying to play some at 4 straight outta college anyway, they tried Jackson there last year early and it was terrible.

Hopefully Bender comes into SL and blows everyone away and it ends the Ariza/Bridges/Jackson at PF convo, at least as the primary options. If he can take that next step, hit the 3 consistently, rebound and defend, we'd have more size and balance all around.

Alan Williams update:
Williams said he's been told by his agent that five or six teams have expressed interest in him. Williams, who likely will clear waivers, said he'd welcome the possibility of returning to the Suns but added, "I'm trying to find where I fit and where I have the opportunity to play. I love the city of Phoenix, I love my teammates and I think the new coaching staff is great. It would be really awesome to be able to come back and help this team go in the right direction. Ultimately, though, I have to do what's best for me."
A Suns' source said the team hasn't ruled out re-signing Williams.

Trying to make sense of where we are:
PG: Knight/Harrison/Okobo
SG: Booker/Daniels/King
SF: Jackson/Bridges/Reed
PF: Ariza/Warren/Bender/Chriss/Peters
C: Ayton/Chandler

A week or 2 ago, its in one of the news threads either here on or realgm. I'm far too lazy to sift through all that though

I'd move Chriss to 3rd string center if he's still on the roster, he can play when Chandler doesnt

A ceiling of 37 wins, which is fine by me for 2018-19.
I just don't want to see any tanking and would welcome another lottery pick.

Tankathon has us slotted for the 5th pick and Zion Williamson.

I'm already on record as saying I think he plays well next season. I think he'll play as good as Dragic. Just a gut feeling I have.
I will gladly go out on that limb with you. I can’t give any quantifiable reason for this, but I feel good about him this year.

+16 wins in a loaded Pacific Division? I'll take it.

I think we'll win between 36 and 42 games this season.
