The penalty should be $500,000 AND they are not allowed to sign Paul George--ever. THAT would discourage tampering. Its an appropriate related consequence. If an agent gets a "no-no" call from a team, he immediately hangs up. He cannot afford to limit his client's options.

I agree with this ⬆️

I agree that would be a more appropriate punishment. But the league would never have the guts to do that.

They've done it in the past. See Joe Smith and the Minnesota Timberwolves. But that was a much "Stern"er NBA.

The NBA truly was under the Davidic convenant with a Stern ruler. But soon, sold itself out for 30 pieces of...Silver.

Talk to CS, I didn't write it. I didn't know what it was and had to google it but just glanced at the description. I thought CS was just putting a nice string of puns together. What am I missing?

There's a pretty good chance that the Nets pick winds up somewhere from 6-9. I don't know if we have anything of value I would want to move for that. I guess maybe Bledsoe but I think they want a "star." They are convinced it will be a top 3 pick. The East sucks so much that I'm not.

If they are thinking IT is going to be greatly limited this year, and Lebron wants Bledsoe, I would absolutely do that trade. Not sure we can do it without taking salary back. Can we?

I'm with you, I would do that in a heartbeat.

We do have to take back salary, but we are so far under the cap, that we would have to spend that money anyway. Bled for Pick + Frye + Shumpert?

And after picking up Bledsoe, maybe the Cavs can work out a trade for Dragic. I'm sure he'd love to be reunited with Bleds and IT.

Wow. First thing that come to my mind? Jerry sold too early. At least one championship too early maybe more.

Well, selling too early is way better than selling too late.

I would add the Miami 2018 pick with Bledsoe for that.
