Shouldn’t be a star on the uni unless it’s the Sun.

At first I didn't like last years El Valley jerseys and then ended up growing on me and owning one. I don't think there's a chance in hell of that happening with this one. Nothing screams cool or exciting about that jersey. Looks like some U9 Suns sponsored league jersey. UGH.

We sure those aren't the new G-League unis? Aren't they the Valley Suns?

30 Teams in 30 Days: Suns' hopes may hinge on Bradley Beal's play
Phoenix and its star-studded trio face a crucial season after losing in the first round of the 2024 playoffs.

https://www.nba.com/news/2024-25-season ... 60be89d7da

Offseason
  • Re-signing: Bol Bol, Damion Lee, Josh Okogie, Royce O’Neale
  • Additions: Coach Mike Budenholzer, Tyus Jones (free agent), E.J. Liddell (free agent), Monte Morris (free agent), Mason Plumlee (free agent)
  • Draft: Ryan Dunn, Oso Ighodaro
  • Departures: Coach Frank Vogel, Drew Eubanks (to Jazz), Eric Gordon (to 76ers), David Roddy (to Hawks)
  • Unsigned Free Agents: Udoka Azubuike, Saben Lee, Isaiah Thomas, Ish Wainright, Thaddeus Young

Summer summary

Vogel won a championship with the Lakers in part because he was a defense-minded coach, then lost his job in Phoenix mainly because the team cratered on defense. The Suns looked for an excuse to address an embarrassing finish, and turned to Budenholzer, another championship-proven coach, as the replacement.

Strapped by cap issues, the Suns could only find offseason help on the bargain rack. Such is the case when the three core players will earn roughly $150 million combined in 2024-25. O’Neale is the key returnee on a new deal. Plumlee brings a lively frontline body while Morris and Jones should help replace Gordon in the backcourt.

Seems to really undersell how good Jones is.

Not only undersell Jones, but the combo of having with Jones or Morris running point = way better option than EG.

Also, Mason should be better than Drew. Health permitting, this should be a considerably better rotation than last year.

Actually, how do you all see the rotation? Our top eight guys are Book, KD, Beal, Allen, Tyus, Monte, Nurk and Plum.

Competing for 9-10 we have Bol, Dunn, Ighodaro, Lee, O’Neale and Okogie. Who wins that competition?

Right, and the author treated it as if they are equivalent.

Clippers fans really seem to think Mason was terrible last year and the Suns are dummies.

Doesn’t take much to be better than Drew. For a minimum salary, I don’t see how he can be a dumb acquisition. How much better could we have done? Retaining Drew would certainly not be better.

I have seen / heard multiple pundits saying that the top 4 teams in the West for the coming season are, in some order: OKC, Denver, Minny, Dallas. They generally aren't mentioning the Suns. I think we're going to be pretty darn good unless we have a catastrophic injury.

Does “pretty darn good” mean better than OKC, Denver, Minny or Dallas?

We should be a better team than last year, but the same can be said of most Western Conference playoff contenders.

I think that O'Neale replaces Monte on your list of top 8 guys. It will be interesting how the 9-10 competion plays out.

Btw, have you seen or heard from Nodack? He hasn't been around here for almost 3 weeks, which isn't like him.

All I know is he always looks pretty good against us. I think he'll be a solid acquisition.

I'm hoping we surprise and are top four.
