Chriss wasn't bad for the last five minutes, but I didn't really like Triano putting him over Bender at that point. Bender was clearly having one of his better games, not to mention he was one of the only guys who could do something on offense.
I think Bender looked a little bit gassed on the last couple of possessions before he came out. I'm all for pulling him so he ends on a high note. Maybe this carries over. I feel like we saw Chriss' breakout game against Miny, and Bender's tonight.

And, as for stats, he has hit at least one 3 in 12 of 15 games this season. The consistency will come. (crosses fingers)

careful, if we lose another one to the Lakers a tie for playoff positioning goes to them ;-)
it's not saying much, but based on what i saw, i believe we're a better team than the Lakers
we'll win Friday

the other point guard who has lost confidence is Lonzo
he has the height and handle to make things happen for himself inside but he's opposite of James -- he's too quick to dish

The problem is sitting on the bench.
When Tyler played alongside Alan Williams, they were a spunky combo.
Without his beast-like buddy in the paint, Ulis has been lost.

The Lakers broadcast said he was the 2nd worst FT shooter in the league behind Howard. He then promptly missed both.

Yes, sickening. Hated hearing the Lakers fan presence in our arena. The idiots were booing Booker at the FT line. Where were our arena thugs?

Yeah, Len has been throwing the ball at the backboard with velocity lately. What's up with that? Just grab the ball and throw it back out rather than that crap.

That was TOO.
Ha ha, sorry Cap. How did that even happen? I read through this thread from the beginning on my computer and all TOO said was that the refs were crap. Does that automatically put the steaming pile of crap pic on Tapatalk?!

Jackson in for Ulis.
Jackson had a bad game as well. He helped ensure the ping pong balls tonight.

Ulis misses Williams the most.

I'm beginning to see why Mike James has been in Europe this whole time. Our PGs are trash.

I am OK with this loss. Pretty much everyone else on the roster is, in the end, expendable. The players that NEED to develop in SOME capacity are Booker (already there this season IMHO), Warren, Jackson, Chriss and Bender.

Booker has been looking like an all-star this season, perhaps even a budding superstar. I like how he is combining scoring and distribution in a traditional offensive star role -- dominate on single coverage, find the open man in double coverage.

Warren has looked very good when his head has (literally) been on straight. He's a solid #3 on a playoff team.

Both Bender and Chriss are back on track, where I would expect as 19-year old 2nd year players -- if they were on track to be good to excellent players. I don't think that I'd ever trust Chriss to be the main paint defender (a la traditional center) but he's looking great as a weak-side help shotblocker. Bender is slotting very well into a taller Kirilenko role on defense while being more like a Kukoc on offense. There will be MANY games where Chriss and/or Bender lay turds, but there will be many others where they show flashes like they did today.

Jackson looked like he was playing too fast today. (In contrast, I liked how Bender took all the time in the world on that one driving layup). I am not worried about him, he will look better in the second half of the season.

Regarding the problem that the second unit has scoring, I wonder if it might be good for Jackson's development to run him as effectively the backup PG while letting Mike James do his Eddie House thing. He certainly has court vision, and he's more of a 1/2/3 than a 3/4. Make him into a passer while he works on his shot, and let him beat up on second-tier PGs on defense. He'll suck some nights but he'll really do well on other nights.

It was so infuriating. We were surrounded by lakers fans and it seems like most suns fans are content to sit there and take it. My cousin and I were arguing back and forth with some obnoxious fans that ended up getting kicked out.

I want to see better PG play from Ulis. And I want to see a third guy have a good game besides Booker and Warren, who seem to be becoming our two mainstays. (Preferably Bender for that, but I'd take Chriss or Len.) But otherwise I am fairly content with what we're doing out there. We're losing a lot of games, as we should be, but I like the overall set of players on the roster.

Len blows again.

Josh Jackson is now shooting under 38% from the field and is at 26% from 3. I knew his outside shooting would be suspect, but dude can’t seem to hit from ANYWHERE. He is worthless as a perimeter player right now, defensive specialists are the NBA of yesteryear, if you have no offense get off the court.

Book has really improved this year. I have no doubt he’s our franchise guy and is more than capable of being a #1 on a playoff team. He really needs some help. And not TJ Warren help. He needs a consistent #2. My biggest worry is him leaving this shithole when his rookie deal is up. I’d hate him immediately, but I wouldn’t blame him.

Oh, Bender looked GREAT. I am really happy about his play the last few weeks.

Neither of our PGs warrants comment. The box score speaks for itself.

This is not a particularly strong PG class from what I've read. Someone can always surprise. I guess Sexton is the best of the bunch and he's a mid to late 1st round pick.
