Most of that draft was a dud. I think we've gotten more out of Len than a lot of lottery teams got out of their pick.

1. Anthony Bennett - Major Bust
2. Victor Oladipo - All-Star
3. Otto Porter - Good Starter
4. Cody Zeller - Disappointing Role Player
5. Alex Len - Dissapointing Role Player
6. Nerlens Noel - Disappointing Role Player
7. Ben McLemore - Bust
8. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - Decent Role Player
9. Trey Burke - Dissapointing Role Player
10. C.J McCollum - Borderline All Star
11. Michael Carter-Williams - Disappointing Role Player
12. Steven Adams - Good Starter
13. Kelly Olynyk - Good Role Player
14. Shabazz Muhammad - Dissapointing Role Player
15. Giannis Antetokounmpo - MVP Candidate

Other decent picks

17. Dennis Schroeder - Decent Starter
24. Tim Hardaway - Decent Starter
26. Andre Roberson - Good Role Player
27. Rudy Gobert - All Star
31. Allen Crabbe - Good Role Player

So 6 good picks in the top 15, 5 more the rest of the way. 12 total guys who are at least decent role players. Seems really week. McCollum is the only guy that was really in consideration at our spot that turned out good. Adams and Giannis both went about as early as anyone expected.

Never liked the Len pick, looked too generic for me, never got hyped by him, but it’s not like we were the only one disappointed, besides Orlando and of course the Bucks.

Yet if we didn't draft Len it would have been one of the other busts we were never getting that Diamond on the rough... And I reckon Len isn't a total bust yet.. If we let him walk cheap we will regret it later... If we overpay we'll regret it now... Who else we gonna get tho?

If I am Houston, I'm doing whatever it takes to keep Capela because I have a proven formula that puts me contention.

If I am New Orleans, I offer Cousins a max 2-year deal, with a player option for the second year, to see how he comes back from the injury and how he meshes with the team.
Somehow someway I think we need a Capel Clone. That is a big that is agressive as hell, has great hands and get those hands on virtually everything that happens in the paint. Bascially I see him as a bigger Matrix. We really do not need a lot of scoring or a great three point shooter. He does need to ferocious and capable of finishing in the paint.

Is there anyone in this draft with the Miami pick that we can get our hands on?
What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.

Robert Williams and Mitchell Robinson fit the mold. TBD if they'll become good players though.

This board has the most Robert Sarver fans/pro Sarver people out of any other Suns forum so I thought I’d post this here

Just go for Dedmon in free agency. He is going to get way less than the max and he gives you a lot of what you need out of a big man today.

Houston's Capela is maaaaybe circumstantially worth the max if you have consolidated stars and he is the final piece (perhaps for the C's, for instance). PHX is not in a position to gamble 25% of its cap on him.

I don't know that there is any pro-sarver people here. I think almost everyone would like to see him sell. I've seen a few people have reservations about him selling but only because they are worried we could get a worse owner or one who moves the franchise to Seattle.

With that said, I am going to defend him a little bit here. That quote/story is over 10 years old and I doubt anyone is surprised. He didn't understand how basketball worked and was still trying to apply too many of his banking principles and focusing too much on the business aspect. I think he's at least realized the basketball product comes first and you can't have a successful business side if the product on the court sucks.

Still, I'm not convinced he'll ever let the basketball people handle things on their own. He's going to stay involved, I just hope he learns to do so in a way that doesn't hurt the team. Not sure he's figured that one out yet.

That is a ridiculous statement. I don't know of a single pro Robert Sarver fan on this board.

It is a known fact that Sarver didn't know anything about running a basketball team when he bought the franchise and that he has been learning on the job ever since. That story doesn't surprise me in the least.

Nobody is pro-Sarver that I've seen, however watching people say the same shit about him over and over for years is very tiresome to read. Beating a dead horse does nothing, being negative 24-7 does nothing. Waste of time. I'm just gonna start muting all the broken record people at this point.

Yup. He's not going anywhere. It doesn't help to bash him constantly. We can only hope for the best and that he learns from his mistakes and lets the basketball minds do their jobs.

Nobody here comes out and says "I am pro-sarver" but there are sevreral folks that regularly defend poor decisions made by this organization, and that starts with him.

I think people play the "you are pro Sarver" card when a person refuses to blame everything on Sarver. Some like to act like every mistake Ryan has made has been because of Sarver.

It's Jontay Porter for me. I feel like you have to walk away from this draft with him, regardless of who you draft in the top 4.

I like him a lot but once workouts start I think he's going to move up. I'm really warming to Khyri Thomas but he's a guy that I'm not sure you take at #16 but also don't think will be there at #31.

Does anyone know anything about Anfernee Simons?
