We also don’t have our next two 2nd round picks
I wonder if the Thunder have any extra picks that they would give us for...ohhh let’s say, CASH CONSIDERATIONS.
Point is they’re a dime a dozen. The fans are smarter than the front office here.

This was out there, not sure how realistic any of the points are...but, here you go...

I like the idea of Blake or LA, but I don't think you'd get either as cheap as the writer thinks...

...which given the Kelly rumors might make more sense...but I think losing Kelly is a big step backwards, given he is best 3rd player, which doesn't move us forward...

Did the same for LA, got this...

... Which made me scratch my head...maybe? Losing Baynes would hurt...but...hmmmm?

I’m just not gonna get worked up over missing out on Alec Burks or Glen Robinson. Not sure either would have really made a difference.

I hope the Suns trade for Kevin Love, John Wall and Blake Griffin. Real impact players that will make Booker forever happy so much. Take as much 1st rounders we got. Just get it done.

Grizz got Winslow for Iggy. Wow. What a series of moves in the past year. Jones has a lot of work to do. A Lot!
I fully expect Jones to whiff on all trades and then give us some BS like “Oh I didn’t see anything that would improve the team. I believe in this group of guys...blah blah....we’ve had a lot of injuries...blah blah.” As a Suns GM, this is the way.
It’s what I fear also
It’s going to be hard to swallow. Even a b grade back up pg would help.
There is clear roster imbalance and it needs to be addressed.

Winslow's health is a question mark, (currently a bad back) but this is an incredible move for MEM. For MIA, it's not as bad as it looks at the moment. Granted Iggy is old, but the second year of the extension is not guaranteed so he becomes a terrific trading chip. Actually, if DLo remains with the GSW, I could see Riley making a move for him next summer to add him to Butler, Bam and co., all with the greater plan to end up getting KAT and, perhaps, Booker.

AT this point, the Suns are all but mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. Jones needs to treat it that way. There is no longer any point in making a trade geared towards putting us in the playoffs. There's no point in playing our top guys big minutes anymore.
Embrace the suck. Collect the ping pong balls. Trade for long term pieces that may or may not help right now. (i.e. buy low on a guy like Blake makes a certain amount of sense).

Hard to buy low on a $100M contract.

I'd be fine standing pat if I knew our bench would be healthy the rest of the way. I just can't believe those guys have been out this long.
This will probably end up being "the season that wasn't". I just wonder when the Booker rumblings begin or if Jones has the balls to pull off a KAT blockbuster.

KAT won’t be traded in season. That kind of move is for the summer. Just get a guard to shore up the bench. Maybe move Baynes for a pick. That’s what I’m looking for. I won’t say no to a good long term piece, just don’t see it happening in season.

I really miss seeing professional basketball players at each position on our team. At least one per position would be great.
And what is going on with Rubio? I know he wasn't great last year, but he did used to be a good defender, right? He is a sieve (along with most of our perimeter players).

I think Rubio is hurt more than he’s leading on and just trying to be a warrior because the team needs him. At least I Hope this is the reason for his bad play. Aside from his assists he’s been downright awful in every other aspect of the game.

Philly has to move two guys to clear room for Burks and Robinson. I’d look into both Burke and bolden if they’re dropping them.

2 1/2 hours to go. I'll be here at the computer scanning Twitter and the RealGM forum posting anything worth seeing. I also hope the have the quote ready from James Jones last year after acquiring Tyler and talking about how important of a trade chip he'll be come this offseason. I'll be ready to use it when he sits on his hands all day and does nothing. Hope I'm wrong.

Burke and KOQ would add some depth with backcourt scoring and frontcourt defense. Inf mentioned Burke I believe and he's good for quick offense. I'm a fan of KOQ in general. A deal centered around Baynes and their bench guys could definitely work. Baynes goes to a contender, we can grab KOQ and some combo of role players like Trey Burke, Alec Burks, a young guy like Bolden...

Suns now officially have an injury exception with Saric missing his 4th game. From my understanding of the BSOS article, the Suns can absorb an extra player without having to create an open roster spot. The good thing is that this happened now and not AFTER the deadline.
This plays into our favor to make a move or two. PAGING JAMES JONES AND JEFF BOWER!!!
