That was a great locker room clip. Glad they are celebrating Monty for getting his first series win.
In my official playoff predictions, I picked us to win this series in 7 and then to lose to the Nuggets in the next round. But who knows? Jokic will be a nightmare matchup, but I don't know that the Nuggets can slow down our offense the way the Lakers did. If we have found a rhythm and confidence from this series, the sky's the limit.
Suns are the favorites to win the Series with Denver, 62-38. They probably should be. The two losses to Denver were back to back, in overtime and double overtime. In both cases, Denver had star guard Murray available. In the 2 OT loss, Booker was out with a hamstring injury. Murray's the second or third best player on the team (between him and MPJ).
Even healthy, Denver was about an even match for us. But, they're down Murray, and CP3 is likely to be feeling a lot better after limited minutes last night, and 4 days rest. Our best three are better than their best three (Jokic, MPJ, Gordon vs. Booker, CP3, Ayton, there's a steep drop off with Gordon there). Our rotation is deeper / better as well (though they have great front court depth, their back court is a bit of a mess).
I'm not saying we will win, but being slightly favored seems about right. Jokic is a beast, and they're much better 3 point shooters than the Lakers. They're a better team than the Lakers we faced, but CP3 is also going to be healthier, and they can't just dare him to shoot the way LA did.
Nice analysis. Also, remember that Murray traveled before hitting a three to tie and take one of the games to OT otherwise we would have won in regulation. The NBA admitted their mistake the next day. Also, Nuggets are missing Will Barton.

Jokic on Ayton in January:
“He’s amazing. Give the guy credit. He’s amazing,” Jokic told reporters after the Saturday game. “He’s really solid. He knows like what he needs — I think that’s the best thing a young player can have: that mindset.
“He play(s) really good defense. He stopped me five, six, seven, eight times. Give that guy credit. He was really good tonight.”
As everyone is pointing out. Tip of the hat to DA and we gonna need him to impact this series also

I like Schroeder. I don’t think LA was a great fit for him chemistry wise…but when he wants to be, he’s a great player. He was phenomenal in their 2 wins…and he really stepped it up in the 2nd half when they were trying to come back in game 6.
I hope he finds a good fit, I’d like to cheer for him, but I’m not cheering for him on the Lakers, haha

I think I like the idea of Schroeder more than his actual play. I want to really like him, but he can be a bonehead sometimes and doesn't seem to have a super high ball IQ. He was great off the bench in OKC so maybe that's the best role for him.

Ya I can agree with that. I don’t know that I’d want him as a starting pg…maybe if he’s your 4th or 5th best player. But bench spark plug seems like a good role.

Schroder seems to overrate himself. I think he turned down a pretty big contract, something like 3/$80m, because he thought he's worth more. I wouldn't want to pay him 3/$100m or something crazy like that. If he could shoot a little better he'd be a really valuable asset. His defense on the ball is incredible, and he's good at attacking the basket for layups. I think he hurt us a lot in our 1st round series and I always hated when he was on the floor.

I would have to give the nod to Crowder over DA on the Salsa competition.
