Ayton can not pass himself the ball, but positioning, footwork, and ball handling are all skills he needs to develop. The Suns do not have a David Robinson type that could have helped him develop like Tim Duncan, but sometimes you need to take the onus upon yourself to improve.
Absolutely. Ayton deserves blame but not in a vacuum, Suns haven't set him up for growth.

I have to admit that I am not a fan of the "modern" game and people jacking up too many 3's. I think it is inevitable that the rules will be revised. I am not advocating for 90s thug ball but perhaps something closer to what the Suns had with SSOL. You need both inside and outside play.

Tim Duncan was all all timer in college, he was gonna be just fine without the Admiral.
Ayton is a top 3 center when he is focused, locked in, and just tries hard.
I don’t know about that. Jokic and Embiid are clearly at the top. If he were to learn fundamentals like boxing out his man in addition to the things you mentioned then maybe.

It's no different than when everyone would harp on INFORMER because of draft picks and euros. None of it is malicious.
Nah, it's been taken to a next level with JeremyG. Maybe just be a little more conscience of it.

Imo, it's like the guy that stands behind the bully and eggs them on by talking trash themselves, but I suppose it's the nature of being anonymous online, makes us feel safe and tough to be rude to strangers that they wouldn't normally be in person.

Not sure I agree with that assessment in any way. I've also not looked at it that deeply, always just gave him shit for his Ayton blinders. I can't speak for others, but I never got this sense at all. It's always been Ayton related ribbing.
Oh yeah, so all you stupid idiots slobbering all over Oubre and rubbing it in my face is different?

Give me a break. This is meant to be a place for banter. If you can’t take the heat then don’t tickle the dragon.

You’re all idiots but I keep coming back for more. I’m sauce and I approve that message
Hell, Sauce, I give you props for maintaining that Popeye Jones avatar ... 8-)
He’s too handsome to change!

Deferring blame for his deficiencies is weird to me. I'd like to know some examples of what they could've done differently and how it would've lead to more team success.

Bam, Jokic, Embiid, Allen, Sabonis all better just off the top of my head.

Jokic, Embiid, and AD (he's a Center, IMO) are all better even on Ayton's best day. I've also considered Giannis a Center in the past, but I understand the argument that he's not.

He's in the group with those other guys depending on his form at the moment.

I’ve probably soured on Ayton more than most but I’m not going to forget how incredible he played during our finals run. He actually contained Joker and showed how unique he was. That he is a max contract player is the issue. He’s overpaid for what he brings. But I’d take 2021 post season Ayton ahead of Allen, Sabonis, and Bam. The reality of this season is he’s simply a top 8 center at best.
So yeah they are better.

I don't want to rehash old arguments ad nauseam but I think that Monty plays favorites and that we could have done a lot more to give him reps as an inside threat. Let him make the mistakes he needs to make to grow. Of course, he hasn't been great when given the opportunity recently.

Fair enough. Speculating about interpersonal relationships is a huge waste of time, so agree to disagree then.

Effort should be rewarded with opportunity.

Show me the effort.
