I don’t believe at all I just thought it was funny. LolFlagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 2:57 pmWally, you need to unfollow all those accounts you picked up during the summer of KD dreams. Just let it go man...![]()
Yes, I am encouraged, and no, I am not making any definitive statements. I'm not making any predictions about the future, positive or negative. I'm just saying, he is in a great stretch right now after going through one of his worst stretches ever. I'm just not ready to redefine what type of player he is or what level of player he is based on this great stretch of play.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 2:49 pmIt wasn't true a month ago during one of the worst stretches of his career that happened to coincide with being tasked to carry the team for the first time. He was also likely carrying an injury and fought through it.INFORMER wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 11:40 amI think that is only true while he is in the midst of his best streak of games of his career. This wasn't true a month ago. This wasn't true last year in the playoffs. If Scrimmage Bridges is here to stay, then I think we can arrive at your evaluation. But until then, taking last season and all of this season into account, he has been a valuable but expensive role player.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 11:31 pmI think we're at the point where Bridges contract is not a fair place marker. He's already met the production and development level to merit the contract value, and we're approaching it being on the best value contracts in the league.
You can't tell me you're not encouraged by the development he's shown recently. Bringing the ball up under pressure against good defenders, the shot creating and making, still just as disruptive on the defensive perimeter... Then again, you've kinda always been a wet blanket when it came to Mikal, so I guess it would make sense for you to not believe he's going to outplay his contract value.
I wouldn't mind trading Ayton, Payne, Crowder and 3 1sts and come back with FVV, OG, and Poeltl. I think the team would be much better and ready to compete for a title.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 2:44 pmI suggested Ayton and Cam Payne 2 1st for FVV and OG and then use Crowder to get Poeltl on the previous page and everyone shitted on me lmao
They shitted on me too for sayin Ayton and 3 1st for Siakim but y’all definitely trippin on that one. That’s more than fair a deal.
I'm encouraged that you're encouraged.INFORMER wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 3:10 pmYes, I am encouraged, and no, I am not making any definitive statements. Shit on both of you
3 1sts!!! For that!!!
That’s a silly argument.
I think the chances of it happening this deadline are pretty slim. This summer, however, is when I expect significant roster changes.
I don’t really prescribe to that. If someone is gonna give me 3 high level starters, even if they aren’t stars, I’ll gladly do that for 3 1sts.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 4:54 pmThat’s a silly argument.
We’re not paying our next 3 picks $50+ million in combined salaries.
That’s gross asset mismanagement.
We can get better for 3 picks than role players.
You package 3 picks, better be for a top 25 player at least.
I’m still shitting
I know it sounds gross, but we are improving 3 positions/players, imo. The idea is to win a chip, and they are all relatively still young and in their primes. I don't trust Payne or Ayton & Jae doesn't do anything for the team anymore.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 4:24 pmEWIn2ition wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 3:21 pmI wouldn't mind trading Ayton, Payne, Crowder and 3 1sts and come back with FVV, OG, and Poeltl. I’m obviously guessing here but I’m willing to bet Ishbia is down to just straight up buy late 1st and 2nd round picks.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 5:43 pmIshbia is where the money is gonna come from. You’d have FVV, CP3, Booker, Bridges, Cam, OG, and Poeltl all under contract or holding their rights. That’s 7 guys. Shamet would also still be under contract and then you’d have exceptions, vet mins, and bird rights(Biyombo, Landale, Saric) to fill out the roster.
