The statement itself is a little odd when they could've just said nothing. Maybe there was something behind the scenes that went on which made the Grizz put it out there or maybe they were just tired of him and wanted to send a message about the team going forward. Some other stuff out there now about him wanting a bigger role for himself and looking for $25mil/year. Gotta see how this plays out.

That's exactly my point and I don't think they'd have done it if they didn't flame out in the first round.

LOL. So it’s like, “Sorry we sucked. Here’s a consolation prize!”?
Absolutely. Like when we deal Ayton this offseason.
That would get about half of the fan base to back off.

The real boost in fandom would come from dropping Landry Shamet into an alligator pit.

I think this is correct. Embiid had the best regular season.

(Who the hell had Morant 5th?)

"Joel Embiid is the first player to win the Kia NBA MVP Award with the 76ers since Allen Iverson in the 2000-01 season."

Just like Booker's which will say, "Devin Booker is the first player to win the Tesla NBA MVP Award with the Suns since Charles Barkley in the 1992-93 season."

Someone didn’t even have Jokic on their ballot, lol

How much you wanna bet it was a Philly voter that didn’t want to give Jokic any chance

Jones with some votes. I think Pelinka should've gotten it for rebuilding that team at the deadline.

Amazing that you can trade away Tyrese Halliburton and still get Exec of the Year. Or in our case, not draft Halliburton and still get it.

Just think if James Jones did draft Haliburton. We wouldn't be behind the 8ball right now or foreseeable future.

I understand giving it to the Kings GM, but with the moves that were made by Pelinka at the trade deadline that totally transformed them from a trash team to possibly having a legitimate chance to win the title is pretty impressive.

IIRC, the '95 Rockets were the lowest seed (6th) to ever win a title. And now the Warriors and Lakers have a shot at matching/setting that record.

They do. But neither looks as great as the Nuggets have looked all season and postseason. I would pick Denver over either GSW or LAL.

So, you’ll be rooting for the Lakers over the Nuggs?
