What a bunch of pathetic losers. But hey, 2nd highest payroll in all global professional sports!

1. New York Mets (MLB) – about $446.6 million

2. Phoenix Suns (NBA) – about $408.9 million

3. Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB) – about $408.7 million

4. New York Yankees (MLB) – about $373.7 million

5. Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) – about $299.5 million

Hey, look at the bright side. The Suns have the worst PG rotation and the worst Center rotation in the league. It's seriously impressive to have the worst rotation in the league in two positions.

Who cares right? Our owner is rich and his money will fix everything. It's so amazing having an owner who's willing to spend. We should stop complaining and be thankful.

I should be more appreciative. I'm sorry Matty Ish.

I mean I don’t think it makes sense to complain about having an owner that spends money…but by all means complain about the team…no one is telling you to stop that

To some extent I think it does when he doesn’t do it responsibly and puts us in such a predicament that we can’t execute a trade when we need to. Money backed us into a corner if anything.

Ok, I get that…but it’s not really about the money. No one would have a problem if the the team was winning…I also don’t recall seeing very many people against the moves we made. They all seemed to make a lot of sense at the time.

Three, counting how we are positioned for the future.

Only watched the 1st half, saw updates about the start of the 2nd half on social so knew where this was headed. I thought we played well enough in the first half offensively but had a feeling it wouldn't last. We shot really well and were only up 3 going into halftime but that's what it takes to even stay close. We know we can't shoot like that all game and don't have the defensive players to slow anyone down.
OKC showed us what great defense looks like in the 2nd half. Just totally shut us down. They're energy was at least twice what ours was. They were all over the court.

Final: OKC 140, PHX 109

OKC showed us what great offense AND defense looks like. They showed the Suns that they aren't even in the same ballpark. This is a wasted year. This combination didn't work. Going to be tough to recover from and will take quite a bit of time. We're just playing it out at this point. Sure, maybe we'll go on a little run however unlikely that seems at the moment. Or maybe we'll just peter out the rest of the way. But we can already see the final outcome on the wall. Either don't make the playoffs or barely make it and lose in the first round to the likes of OKC.

Pretty sad. Ishbia is learning the hard way. I hope he can recover from this mess in less than 5 years. I'm sure he wishes he had a do over with what he started with. I'm sure Sarver is laughing all the way to the bank.

Mike Budenholzer on if this team is fixable: "I think if you lean into the first half and how we played for big parts if that, I think we've talked about some through the year, doing it for 48 minutes. Finding sustainability both ends of the court. We've just got to keep pushing, keep working."
In other words, no. We're going to see the same mediocrity the rest of the way with maybe incremental progress at best.

Agreed. I don't think he's actually understanding what happened. The Thunder picked up their level of intesity, and the Suns weren't equipped to match it or handle it. This isn't going to be changed by doing things like they did in the first half of the game. They tried to do the same things they did in the first half of the game, but were taken completely out of the game by what OKC did.

Great to hear. I’m pretty sure this is the first time he’s made that observation.

Oh, wait, he said they’ve been talking about it all year. Good, that means it will help this time.

They could save a lot of hassle by recording one of these postgame press conferences and replaying it after every loss.

The first half was good. The second half was atrocious.
