We let amare walk in it was the right move. Quinton richardson fell apart when he went to Ny. Marbury nearly went mental when he went to Ny so beware dragic, the phx to ny transition hasnt turned out good recently.

First I trade IT3+, regardless. Then I let Dragic know that we will pay him more than anyone if things work out the rest of the season, it is, if the team plays better ball and he gets more comfortable with just Bledsoe. If that doesn't happen, he is free to sign with the Lakers, Knicks, etc.
Depends on the offers on the table. If they are bad -- well, the Suns' bird rights on a sign and trade are worth something next summer.

And yet we couldn't let Bledsoe walk.

Very risky. Their only chance would be to trade IT and move Bledsoe to off guard and let Dragic be lead guard from this point forward. Then they'd have to blow sunshine up his ass the rest of the season. I don't see them pulling this off. Just an off-season ago Dragic was saying it was a no-brainer for him to re-sign. Now this. This is the very definition of the phrase "screwing the pooch."

No. We shouldn't be in this position.

I believe better team play and the kind of rotation with Bledsoe from last year could be enough to change his mind (along with the promise of a ton of money, of course).
Anyway, I see little downside to moving IT3 and other pieces (PJ and the twins, specifically). It would make a double statement. First, we want Dragic. Second, we are not happy with the way things have gone so far this season on and off the court, especially after people got paid.

Goran is a better 2 guard than Bledsoe is. Moving Bledsoe off the ball is a non-starter.

Now you're just not being realistic. Although I hardly have room to talk. I pine for Bledsoe and the Morris Twins to be shown the door, but that likely will never happen as long as Ryan and Blabby are calling the shots.

Yeah, it was more of an angry joke and play on "non-starter".

A lot of good stuff from tonight's D League game:
Besides the debut of Alec Brown, Reggie Bullock shined with 26 points on 14 shots. I say give him a shot at starting at the 2.
Franchise cornerstone Archie Goodwin shot 4-18.

And yet people continue to minimize Goodwin's failure to improve his shot. I can't imagine he's putting up 1000s of shots a day and working on his form with his lack of improvement he's shown. A year and a half later, we should have seen noticeable improvement.

Too late for that.

It's just one game, 'bone. In 10 D-League games, he's shooting a much more impressive 43% from the field and a blistering 27% from 3.

Do you remember how awful one Goran Dragic looked as a 20 year old? Probably not, because he was two years from even playing in the NBA, when as a rookie he couldn't dribble or shoot and was being called the worst player in the league.
Give Archie time.

Why do people think it would be 'risky' to trade IT and still lose Dragic? Who cares. We have Ennis to use as backup PG who I'd rather have getting minutes over IT anyway. And we'd be in the market for a real 2 guard, which IT is not.

It's not just about age. It's about experience and talent. A 20 year old playing in the Slovenian league shouldn't be at the same level as a 20 year old that has been given NBA coaching and training. Birth certificates aren't as important as experience and talent.

I agree with you that I'd rather have Ennis on the court than IT. At least the ball would move. This team absolutely needs to get away from all the one-on-one play.
