I like the Knicks picking up Kyle O'Quinn for $4 million a year. Savvy move.

I don't get what the Mavs are doing. DeAndre Jordan is a nice player, but I think he is pretty heavily dependent on a pass-first PG who can throw lobs to him and feed him the ball right under the basket. You couldn't do better than Chris Paul. They want him to be more of "the man" and show off his offensive game? I'm not saying he was a bad offensive player in LA, but I think he really took advantage of the role they gave him there. All he had to do was roll to the basket and catch alley-oops. What is Dallas going to do? Post him up?

And then they sign Wes Mathews with a torn Achilles. I don't think he'll ever be the same. And that money! I'm not sure I'd pay that for the guy even if he were 100% healthy.

I think these are two swing-for-the-fences moves that make no sense to me. I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas had a hard time making the playoffs again despite that supposedly improved roster.

It's risky building a team around Jordan,Matthews,Parons and an aging Dirk. But admittedly if they trade for a PG it's a scary starting 5.

LOL !

Clippers lost DeAndre and had already traded Spencer Hawes. They have a big hole at center.

Yea, but they could have like 30mil in cap space next yr. I think they can be a real player for Durant.

They tried that last year!

I think it's the Mavs being the Mavs and forgetting you don't need 5 all-stars to win. The year they won they had a 35 yr old PG, and their starting wings were DeShawn Stevenson and Shawn Marion.

haha True. I was just talking about that with a friend, The year they won it all was the year they may of had the least flashy team. They just built around Dirk instead of putting as many notable players on the court as possible.

I'm surprised Corey Joseph isn't getting more attention from teams. Nice young player. Some gaping holes at PG on a few teams around the league too...

The Lakers backcourt will be much improved this season. They essentially added Kobe/Lou/Russell and Clarkson was coming on strong at the end of last yr.

Now that frontcout on the other hand....yuck.

I think with the Lakers recent additions you have a team that will finish in the 8-11 range in the lottery. Will be interesting what we are thinking at the end of the yr if we'd rather have sat the #10 pick or Knight.

They look like one of the 2-3 worst teams in the NBA to my eyes. I bet that as the season is coming to a close, they'll have the 5th or 6th worst record in the NBA and will quietly tank down to 2nd or 3rd worst so that they are more likely to keep their draft pick.

LOL. Well, one piece off the board. Lee kind of makes sense in Boston. They love white guys there.
