I think if Riley bends he's gone. Only so much the Suns and Beal can controlSuperbone wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:32 amOK, so is he gone or not after the trading deadline? What say you?specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:30 amYeah unfortunately it ain't happening.Wally_West wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:27 amThis talk about talking calls about KD is such a non story. Gambo, Gerald and others already reported we are and that we are telling teams, we’re not interested at the moment but we’ll listen. Because that’s what you’re supposed to do.
We’re only getting a uptick in calls about KD cuz certain dumbass traded Luka, now everyone is trying to find the next dumbass to do something stupid, including us, seeing if they gonna offer something stupid we can’t turn down. Lol what if the bucks just offered us Giannis out the blue haha.
I just think these calls are much ado about nothing right now. Come the offseason, with the way the season is going. Of course that’ll be a different story but right now. It’s just hopeium for the blow it up crowd.
And please, let's be real. Brad isn't an idiot and he's a human being, and these stories of him refusing to waive his NTC are bullshit. If he really said he's not waiving it, the Suns wouldn't be still aggressively after Butler. We'd have pivoted and made a different kind of deal a while back. Everyone from Windhorst to Gambo to Shams has verified the suns keep trying to trade Beal. You think the Suns wouldn't kill this 2 months ago if Brad said no?
Agreed. Also think it’s bullshit that “we can’t find a team that will take on Beal”. Once again, If that was the case this shit would’ve been done with already and everyone would have moved. Clearly there’s a team or teams that are okay with taking Brad and Brad is okay going too. If this deal doesn’t get done it’s because Miami ultimately didn’t want to go thru with it.specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:30 amYeah unfortunately it ain't happening.Wally_West wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:27 amThis talk about talking calls about KD is such a non story. I am expecting it to get done. I think Riley is just saying fuck you to Himmothy and Phoenix by waiting until the last possible minute so they are fucked with all these losses and less time to meshWally_West wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:57 amAgreed. Yeah, there’s definitely a petty factor at play.specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:59 amI am expecting it to get done. Beal is still worth $30-25 million as a star. It’s just a giant overpay only poverty franchises want.SunsShine wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:59 amThere must be a team that’s interested in Beal, right? This Butler to Suns stuff has been ongoing for the last two months. The Suns have surely called every team in the league by now and have a firm understanding of who would want him. We would have completely moved on by now if there were no teams out there with interest.
Yeah, I think the Suns may feel that the Butler deal isn't going to happen which is why they are suddenly listening to the offer from the Warriors. They know KD will be gone if they can't acquire Butler.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:46 amI do also very much believe it’s get Butler or KD leaves…not in a you better get him or I’m demanding a trade…but more like both sides know this isn’t working without a big shakeup. Both KD and the Suns would be better off with a split. I’d be very surprised if it happened by Thursday, but I think we definitely plan on it in the summer if we don’t get Butler.
I don’t know. I’m really starting to get the feeling a KD trade may be happening instead.
