Around the League: The Offseason
Re: Around the League: The Offseason
No news or rumors of Len getting any offers other than our 1/4.2 QO.

Nobody wants him, not even us. Sad state of affairs for him.Cap wrote:No news or rumors of Len getting any offers other than our 1/4.2 QO.
Also, Mason Plumlee is waaaaay better than Len at basketball.

I would probably go as high as $10 million a year for three years with the 3rd being a mutual option.carey wrote:I don't think he should get $13M a year. I think somewhere in the 7 or 8 range but I could see him using that as a barometer.specialsauce wrote:HELL NO. Let me say it again, HELL NO

When is the latest that he can sign the QO? I'd like this drama to be over.Cap wrote:No news or rumors of Len getting any offers other than our 1/4.2 QO.
Do you realize we have potentially frustrated players for our starting PG, SF, and C?
Family indeed. Theres going to be more grumpy people in that locker room than at my In-Laws during Thanksgiving.

You're both crazy. He should get the exact same contract offer as Williams at most.

Old write up with tons of BSoTS speculation:

There's a newer article speculating that Len's return will shake up the minutes of Chandler and Williams, who are really our guys. blah blah blah
I agree that the grumpiness is frustrating. We should be committing to play dudes, or committing to moving them. None of this, 'we want you all on the team, but we aren't sure if you will play or not.'

At this point I don't even want Len back at the QO. He's clearly not a part of our future, he'll just get in the way of bender, Chriss, and big sauce.

Comment from Durant on his twittering...at least he's owning it.

He did own it. Wonder if that was his statement or his publicist.ShelC wrote:Comment from Durant on his twittering...at least he's owning it.

I'm just glad KD didn't say that he got "hacked," which is the typical PR BS they all say when they mess up something to do with social media.
Now the real question is, what is KD's account name on this site...?

Obviously it was a big debate on if Zaza was intentional so interesting change with Flagrant review but for me the major one is Harden as that happens frequently. The guy is as crafty as they come but he was really getting way with murder with those 3 shot fouls when the defender trying to fight over the screen.

Very happy to hear that they are cracking down on the driver creating contact. the way that has been called the last 2 seasons, little guys were almost impossible to defend.

Re: Around the League: The Offseason
Announced rules "crack downs" are almost always just lip service. They'll over-call it during the preseason, but it'll be the same as it's been in previous seasons by Thanksgiving at the latest.

Re: Around the League: The Offseason
You're so right. The first 5-10 games of the season, they'll call way too many of these violations. Then they'll back it off and not enforce it much after that. By the playoffs, it will be a distant memory.Flagrant Fowl wrote:Announced rules "crack downs" are almost always just lip service. Re: Around the League: The Offseason
You guys might very well be right that some changes have indeed been lip service. The first things that came to mind when I read it was the guys kicking out their feet on 3's which every once in a while someone gets away with but not like before and KD's sweep through is almost now always ball from the side and not two foul shots. So we'll see how the Harden rule plays outMarty [Mori Chu] wrote:You're so right. The first 5-10 games of the season, they'll call way too many of these violations.
