Split, Inf - reasonable takes. And Mori, agree with you more or less. But to be posting shit like this - not in the 70s but not so long ago - it would be hard to excuse.
Regardless, I think she is finished as a sports reporter because few black athletes or for that matter, white athletes that has spent substantial time with black teammates, will ever take her seriously again. And I am glad to see it.

She didn't have the best attitude to begin with. She's no Lindsey Smith or even Paola. She shut her account down instead of owning it. Pretty weak.

I don’t think it was suspended. She made her account private right before this which makes me think she just disabled it. She also disabled comments on her Instagram too.

Countdown to her returning and saying, "I was hacked"...

Last year's opening night starting lineup versus this season's:
Canaan
Booker
Ariza
Anderson
Ayton
versus
Rubio
Booker
Oubre Jr
Saric
Ayton
That right there is the difference between McD and Jones.

We aren't 100% sure on Oubre yet.

We've gone from crap to mediocre. I know some are thrilled but we've quietly capped ourself (will go over it tonight if Oubre signs) and we are still the worst team in the West. We are banking on a lot of internal improvement over the next few years. I hope it happens. For all our sakes.

We have like 35ish million in expiring contracts. We haven’t capped out for the future yet. And we’re better than Memphis. And Minnesota IMO.

I guarantee you we aren't worst in the West this season.

Oubre is going to eat in that. Then we have to make a decision about Saric. I have to look at next year's numbers once Oubre is signed but I don't think we will have significant space. Our best hope will probably be flipping Tyler at the deadline with a pick or two for someone good.

Btw, I'm bummed at how bad at cap stuff the Suns beat writer for the AZ Republic is. He constantly tweets out the wrong numbers. You'd think he'd have a working knowledge of the CBA, but nope.

Not trying to pick a fight with you or anything, 'Bone. You're my guy. But I wonder who you see us clearly being better than knowing that we have to make a 14 game improvement just to be as good as 2nd to last in the West from last year. NOP traded Davis and I think they *got better.* Memphis is the only one I can think of and what if Ja comes out of the gate like a bullet? The Mavs will be a lot better. The Wolves will be better with DAR. Even if we leapfrog Memphis it doesn't really change my point though, does it?

I'm not trying to change your point. All I'm saying is I'd be very surprised if we have the worst record in the West again. But I also don't agree with you that we are "capped". We got better and we weren't going to do it all in one off-season. This is progress and then we take the next step after that.

Say we give Oubre 18 million a year. That puts us at about 85-90 million counting Booker, Oubre, Rubio, Ayton, Bridges, Johnson, Jerome, Lecque. Add another 5 million on for our 1st round pick. With the Cap supposed to be about 117, we’re looking at 20+ million in cap space still. That’s if we renounce Saric, Baynes, Melton and Tyler Johnson plus don’t pick up options for okobo or Jackson. Would drop to 10ish million if we retain rights to Saric.

Bookmark this:
https://earlybirdrights.com/salary-cap/phx/2019-20/ We can revisit when Oubre signs tonight. The next step is easier to take when you leave yourself flexibility. If we want to remain flexible it might mean not signing Oubre, which clearly makes us worse in the short term. I worry we're going to turnout like Charlotte.

Bickley kind of nails how I'm feeling about the last 10 days. I wasn't all in on giving Russel the max though. But I agree with the sentiment in the article:

I'm more positive.. From end of last season to here we've added Monty, Baynes, Saric, Rubio and look likely to re sign Oubre... Pretty happy with that for Warren and picks... All experienced and ready to contribute. Disappointed we lose Jackson probably for nothing but that's on him, didn't know he'd get arrested and accused of blowing dope on his baby

I love how people are acting like spending 3-4 years in college makes a player "NBA ready." Go ask Jazz fan how "NBA ready" Grayson Allen was. Go ask Piston fan how "NBA ready" Luke Kennard was. Let's have a chat about how "NBA ready" Alando Tucker was.
