Your basic September sales pitch, saying how the team could be good if only the players play well this year.
Jared Dudley Explains Why He's Excited for Suns' Future

Jared Dudley knows what a winning formula looks like in the NBA. More specifically, he knows what a winning formula looks like in Phoenix.
...
Appearing on the Doug & Wolf show last week, Dudley vowed that the team is on the right track to contending in the postseason again.
What I found interesting is that Duds does not hesitate to call out the pecking order on the Suns.
“You need to stars to win in this league. When we won, we had Amar’e and Steve,” Dudley said. “So they’ve done a good job drafting Devin Booker. That’s their next star. And I’ve seen him. He has the work ethic and the talent for that.

“Now they’ve had two top-10 picks. But they have to hit on at least one of them. If you find another star to put next to Devin, then it’s easy to find role players. You can find role players everywhere, but you can’t find stars everywhere.”
That's what we've been saying, too. But it's good to know there is a voice in the locker room that knows it and isn't afraid to say it. Bledsoe and Knight, this is not your team. We can find role players anywhere. I hope Len reads this quote and gets a little chip on his shoulder. Because, apparently, they didn't hit with him. I think he can be better if he plays with something to prove this season.

I think he is destined for a FO job in this league. I am not sure how long it would take him to learn enough to be a good GM, but he has the mentality.

Because there isn't enough weird news out there:

http://nypost.com/2016/09/22/mayor-kevi ... re=twitter
A man hit Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson in the face with a pie at a charity dinner Wednesday night, and an official says the former NBA star went on the defensive...The East Bay Express talked to witnesses who said Johnson tackled the suspect, 32-year-old Sean Thompson, and punched him repeatedly. One witness said Thompson was beaten to a “bloody pulp.”

When I was younger, I really, really, liked KJ. But the more that has come out about him, well, he's just not a good guy.

If you swallowed some poison and need to induce vomiting, check out the comments section on the article about this in the East Bay Express.

He is why I real basketball fan. Sure I went to Suns games when I was very young before he was here, but he is the reason I became a life-long Suns fan. It is so disappointing; but not surprising.

I liked the "pie for a pie" comment. Johnson's retaliation was over the top. Talk about an overreaction. In a public setting too?!

Phoenix Suns add Congo project big man to camp roster
Paul Coro, azcentral sports 6:31 p.m. MST September 25, 2016

The Suns are delving deep in the spirit of development with the addition of a 6-foot-11 Congo project who is thin on body and experience but full of teenage upside.

The Suns announced four training-camp additions Sunday, including a new name in 19-year-old Congo native Gracin Bakumanya. He will join two other previously divulged undrafted rookies, Tulsa point guard Shaquille Harrison and UNLV forward Derrick Jones Jr., and returning D-League player Derek Cooke for this week’s Suns training camp in Flagstaff and at least part of the October preseason.

The additions likely will be part of the inaugural season for D-League affiliate Northern Arizona in Prescott Valley.

Bakumanya played this past season for a French club’s junior-level team, averaging 14.3 points and 8.5 rebounds, and was called up for two appearances totaling eight minutes for Antibes in the top French league.

The 220-pounder is a raw, skinny center who has shown the shooting touch and mobility to create power forward projections as well. He has been open to development and coaching, characteristics well-suited for the D-League route.
