Definitely #5 for me!
I’d have thought you’d be at Table #4.
Actually, I’d have thought you’d be
under Table #4.

Ayton. We talk about loose handles by Ayton and I saw a ton of even more loose handles in the clips you just shared. Sure, he had a nice jumper and 3 point shot. I think they can compliment each other. But Ayton was far more fierce near the rim.

Metu also played 32 minutes, while Ayton played 25.

How about neither? They played against a bunch of rec league guys. Metu was probably more surprising if anything has to be chosen.

I'm pretty hyped about this off-season and that video of Metu isn't calming me down. We picked up a bunch of guys with enough skill and competitiveness to thrive playing off of our big 3.

Metu had a stinker the next game, unfortunately. Hopefully Ayton dominates Spain today.

The first Metu highlight in the recap video showed him banking in a 3. That doesn't show him to be a great shooter. But then, I don't think we picked him up for his shooting.

Is Gasol (Marc) still manning the middle for Spain? If so, it should be interesting to see how Ayton fares against him.

It seems the EG stuff really was false—strange that Marc Spears would get it wrong. Maybe DA was trying to recruit EG?
Please keep us posted of when the Bahamian team is playing and if it's on TV. Thanks.
Their first game is next Monday against Cuba at 3:10 pm AZ/Pacific time (
https://www.fiba.basketball/opqt/argent ... nd_results). You can watch all of the games live (and on-demand) here:

I have bad news and good news, though. The bad news is you have to pay $19.99 for the two-month "Max" subscription in order to watch. The good news is that it includes the FIBA World Cup games as well.
Luckily, I subscribe to Max already.
Apparently this isn't the same Max as the newly rebranded (HBO) Max?

Just looked it up. Bahama is playing Argentina today, not Spain.

He did later make one without the backboard. I don’t expect him to take many(maybe he’ll flirt with corner 3s), but it was interesting to see him take pull up 3s in this one. You see, what are often limited nba players, do a lot of stuff they’d never do in an nba game when playing in different settings like this. Believe we saw Okogie hitting step back, pull-up 3s as well earlier this summer.
As for Metu though…I see him mostly as a 3rd string guy. If he produces at all I’d call it a win. He seems like the one guy who was clearly a minimum player that we signed.

True…it’s also just that nba players are capable of a lot more, but are often held back to play certain roles. It’s also just really hard to play against nba level defenders.
Just have to know which guys really shouldn’t expand their games and which ones are being held back. Mikal was a great example of one who rightfully was allowed to expand. Josh Jackson is a guy who should’ve been held back into a role.

And they are "the man" for their national teams whereas they have a much lesser role on their NBA teams.
