I'd take Doncic at 1, make the trade with Memphis sending them Chriss, Warren, 16 and 31 for Parsons and the 4th and take Bamba 4.
Just my opinion.TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 10:22 pmHot takes indeed..Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 7:35 pmThere's a hot take. He's the best young PG in the league, IMO.
Yeah, it's a stretch.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 11:49 pmThe problem is timing. By draft night they can't know who they'd be getting, or even if they'd be getting anyone. Moving the #9 and a nice prospect for such uncertainity would be very Dolan-esque, but with Porzingis injuried this season would be wasted anyway. Better wait, tank hard, get a high pick in '19 and Porzingis back, let Frank develop and build from there.O_Gardino wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 11:10 amIt depends on who the Knicks think they can get in free agency. If they get a star, it's totally worth the player and pick. Would you trade Frank + #9 for Cousins? I'm not saying it is going to for sure happen, but I do think it is possible. The Knicks are never shy about dumping long term assets to sign a big name free agent.
It's tempting to agree, but Sac is really unpredictable and a scorer like Bagley could be great next to their stable of centers.
If we're trading for 4, this is the correct answer. You take Doncic at 1 and grab the defensive big at 4. I prefer JJJ, but I'd take Bamba if JJJ was gone. Ayton + Doncic gives us too many mouths to feed on offense. Doncic, Booker, Jackson, Ayton without much defense.
I liked Fox more coming out of college, but I'm not sure he's a PG either. He's quick, athletic, and can handle the ball, but he's a little lacking in the passing and shooting department. I thought he could turn into Mike Conley but now he looks like he could maybe be Dennis Schroeder?Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 7:35 pmThere's a hot take. I would think that Doncic would be the primary facilitator in that group.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:21 amIf we're trading for 4, this is the correct answer. He would be. And while Booker can play off the ball right now, Jackson has shown that he needs the ball to score. What does he do when Doncic has the ball? Stand in the corner? No one would pay attention to him.In2ition wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:47 amI would think that Doncic would be the primary facilitator in that group.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:21 amIf we're trading for 4, this is the correct answer. I'm pretty sure that every player needs the ball to score.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:58 amHe would be. I hear you, but we are the worst team in the league offensively. There is plenty to be taken by competent players. And Jackson can't be considered a primary ballhandler at the moment (I believe it will come in time). Anyway, with those four you just need a stretch PF and 3D role players.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:21 amIf we're trading for 4, this is the correct answer. This is true. He takes shots off balance (that somehow vaguely remind me of LeBron) but he can make them. Floater game also interesting. And doesn't lack creativity in layups. Just needs to pick up his spots better and let his body grow.
RealManager mock draft by users had PHX taking him at #16. My fear is that he ends up being Shannon Brown.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 12:03 pmBeen watching some Lonnie Walker and while I haven't been a huge fan, I think I'm changing my tune. He's a great athlete, will be able to defend both backcourt positions and can really shoot. He's got some poor shot selection and he's much better in catch and shoot situations right now, but he's got a nice handle. I think he'll learn to shoot off the dribble in time. He's not a PG though, so he becomes more valuable if Doncic is the pick at 1. I think Philly takes a long look at him, he'd be great with Simmons.
Are you talking about on or off the court?TheOriginalOriginal wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 11:43 amI bet Rubio doesn't...In2ition wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 11:11 amI'm pretty sure that every player needs the ball to score.Split T wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:58 amHe would be.
