I don't see the problem here. He was just being honest--he probably would have been fired if they lost in the first round as the #1 seed.
To turn the discussion into "he didn't know they lost to the #8 seed in the conference finals" is just childish.
I have to agree that it is a nothing burger.

Ya I heard the whole conversation…he was clearly talking about losing as a 1 seed to the 8 seed in round 1. JJ was joking with him when he reminded him he did lose to the 8 seed.

Mavericks look terrible. I really can’t imagine them finishing higher than 11th this season. Luka and Kyrie are an awful fit and they lack quality depth.

I tried to watch the other day. It was painful. They started the game down 11-1 when I started fast forwarding. I think I have today's recording. Tough to watch other team's preseason basketball. Can't wait until tomorrow.

I’ve been out on Mazzula for a while. I just can’t imagine him leading a team to a title when I hear him speak. He sounds like such a spaz.

I do agree he’s in over his head…it’s crazy to me a team as good as Boston is just sticking with him

Was just looking the their roster. No idea what they’re doing, but the list of available free agents looks better than their bench.
