Wow, the Spurs are just getting spanked by OKC. 24-point lead at halftime. This one smells over. Sad finish for Duncan; you have to think he retires after this. Will Manu, Pop, and/or Parker join him?

It was interesting watching the Spurs slowly claw their way back into that game. They almost made it interesting at the end, cutting it to 11. But then Duncan got blocked by the rim or something and it led to a KD layup at the other end.

I guarantee you West won't be the starting center next year.

True, but who is? I'm not even sure Luke Walton could out coach Luke Walton.

You're right there. Luke Walton is the new Chuck Norris apparently.

Fun fact: Superman AND Chuck Norris wear Luke Walton pajamas.

I'm going to really enjoy watching Spurs fans crash back down to reality once Duncan is gone. I have thought for awhile now that too much credit gets spread around for their success. Having the best power forward to ever play the game on your team makes everyone from the guy at the end of the bench all the way up to the owner look better.
They can still make the playoffs but they aren't contending for awhile.

If Duncan and Ginobli retire, they will only have about 12 million in cap space and only 8 guys under contract.

they'll have to pay west though, after he walked away from 12 mil. this is a danny manning situation.

kawhi is today's scottie pippen, but with better shooting. and like scottie, if he is the best player on your team, you wont be winning the championship. the guy is no mvp contender.

Scottie made a pretty good run of it in '94, with Pete Myers starting at SG in place of Jordan. Put a better starting SG on that team instead of Myers and it might have put them over the top.

These refs in the Miami / Toronto game suck. They are letting the Heat get away with whatever right now.
