I don't think we need to trade any player for Ball (except to make salaries work). Just include a first round draft pick for NO. If they have Holiday and Rondo again, they don't really need Ball--a draft pick should be good enough.
For example, this trade works (add in draft picks):

(Apparently, giving up Bender and Crawford and getting Ball gives us 11 fewer wins on the season???

)

I wouldn't be happy if we traded Bridges or our pick (unless very heavily protected) for Ball. If it's some combination of Jackson, Warren, Oubre, Milwaukee pick, I''d be more ok with it.

I wouldn't trade Bridges for Ball and would have a hard time giving up either Oubre or Jackson. On the one hand, Oubre's up for an extension and I don't think we can/will commit money to him. On the other hand, I don't know how Jackson and Ball would fit together given their similar shooting woes and they're both pretty much only effective with the ball in their hands. I wouldn't not make the deal because of Jackson and who know how much they'd even play together; but I do wonder about their fit. Adding another non-shooter to the lineup isn't idea either.

It seems strange that the Lakers are offering both Rondo and Ball to the Pelicans. Who would be the Lakers' point guard? They would be in a worse position than we are right now PG-wise lol.

Is taking back Solomon Hill worth trading TJ and JJ for Lonzo Ball? I bet this is the way the suns make their deal.

I would take back Hill if we could keep JJ and send out the Milwaukee pick instead.

I think Bridges and Ball would be fantastic together. Both of them have great hands, deflect a lot of passes, get a lot of steals. Ball is fantastic in transition, so steals feed the offensive part of the game he's best at.
JJ on the other hand... He has the worst offensive TPA in the league by a wide margin, and he's not as good a defender as Bridges. I'd be happy to see him go.
Oubre Jr is pretty meh. I hope we don't overpay him this summer.

I think the most recent deal I saw had Elfrid Payton coming back to LA

If we’re taking on a bad contract then we shouldn’t have to give much up.

Yeah, I wouldn't either. I was curious if maybe I was over-valuing him. It has been a long time since we had a rookie show an NBA-level talent at something in his first year. I know we have Ayton that seems to show a rebounding talent at an NBA level, but he was #1. He better. I don't think anyone we have drafted in 10 years has shown as much as Mikal has when it comes to a defined skill at an NBA level his first year. Even Amare didn't show a consistent NBA skill his rookie year.

I think Bridges is gonna be our defensive glue Shane Battier heart and soul type. Not sure we've ever had a guy like that.

People that are worried about Lonzo Ball drama having a negative impact on out team. Lol. Because we're a model organization on the up and up. We'd be fools to mess up a good thing we've got going right now.
It's only a model organization that is stable that is going to survive Lavar Ball. How on earth is Lavar Ball going at it with Sarver and calling out Igor in the media going to be constructive? And it won't stop with the front office or coach. Ayton, maybe even Booker, will be targets as well. That's not an environment that is going to foster positive change.

IMO Bridges is as untouchable as Booker and Ayton. I’m not trading him unless I’m getting a bonafide star in return.
