What are the odds that Milos hops on the first flight back to Europe?
Pretty high.

Very high.

I would love him for the rest of this year. Terrible on D though.

Gambo says the Pelicans would demand Booker in order to give up Lonzo Ball to us if they got him from the Lakers.

But it also sounded like we are refusing to give up our 2019 first round pick.

Milos is heading back to Europe. He hated the NBA, hated life in the US. No freaking way he'd take a vet min offer to get annihilated every night with the Suns.

Only player that got traded that I maybe would have considered was Fultz. Trade deadline isn’t really the best time to improve an 11 win team. That’s what the off season is for. I’m sure if someone offered a 2nd for Daniels, we would have taken it, but looks like no one was offering.

That’s what we said last year, and we came away with absolutely nothing.

This was all bs. The Pelicans were never trading for Zo. And this report of a hypothetical trade to come after another hypothetical trade was pure nonsense.

You think Ayton, Bridges, okobo, and Melton are nothing?

If Dell Demps is fired and no longer NO's GM on July 1, perhaps they will take a different approach to everything.

Nothing------------------------Melton, Bridges, Okobo, Ayton-------------------------Something

I'd say they are neither/in the middle still at this point. They definitely show promise but none are a sure bet by any means. They will be on a team that will end up with the worst record in franchise history. So there's a lot they have to prove yet.

Dude. We can’t continue to trot out 19 year olds. This team should never have gone into the season with most of its rotational talent coming from rookies and second year players.

We have cap space and roster spots. Instead of wasting it on Trevor Ariza, Ryan Anderson, Isaiah Canaan and company, we should have complemented our young guys with above average, smart basketball players.

Yes, we came away with nothing. Sucking intentionally, sitting on your hands, and just waiting for more drafts and for your players to all age without any mentorship or structure is just bullshit. We’re repeating the same method of the last 2 years and look where we’re at. Dallas is doing it the right way. Utah is doing it the right way.

Scottie Pippen on Lonzo Ball not getting traded: "I'm happy for him. He's got like what, 4 more months to be in LA?"

Neither Dallas or Utah ever bottomed out. Do you have a problem that we chose to bottom out in the first place?

I wish we could have brought it some vets as well, but we did try. Ariza and Anderson just either didn’t want to be here or they just sucked. What other options would you have pursued?

Do you actually think trading for Mirotic would have changed anything? We’d win 22 games instead of 18 and then he’d sign elsewhere.

We’re all frustrated with the team, we all know things need to change, but your just asking for change for the sake of change. We need to make smart moves and nothing that happened at the trade deadline would have been smart for us to do. Sometimes patience is the answer.

Amen. And i will add, Ayton, Booker and now even Jackson have the potential to be good to great. Bridges has the potential to be a premier 3andD player and we have our draft pick in the next draft. We are not dead in the water even with our current record. Being patient is the logical thing to do right now. I’m more frustrated that the front office hasn’t thought more out of the box and been able to find useful young talent outside of the draft.

Is it too much to ask that we at least put out a complete roster?

Signing or trading for a stretch 4 last offseason and trading for a legit PG (doesn’t have to be a superstar) would have gone a long way in the development of this team. They’re okay leaving gaping holes in talent and experience.

Dallas won 33 games and 24 games the last two years. They’ve already won 25 this year, have Doncic KP and a boatload of money to spend.

Utah drafted Hayward, Gobert, Mitchell, etc. they bottomed at 25 wins in 13-14, and slowly improved and turned their roster to what it is today.

Boston has consistently turned their roster with a mix of young guys and savvy vets (see: Horford, Smart, etc)

We just think drafting lottery with no care for roster construction or strategy and giving them meaningless minutes will build a winner.

We’ve definitely made mistakes and lots of them. I’m not saying that our plan has been the right one. I just don’t think now is the right time to build the roster with impending free agents. Last summer would have been a great time to add good veteran players, we obviously wiffed. But we have options to try again this summer. I just think our options are better then than now.
