If we were to get the #1 pick, I think I would draft Zion and then throw however much money we possibly could at Kemba Walker. Or maybe it would be possible to work out a sign and trade with Charlotte?

Kemba will likely get a max deal. But it could be possible to get the #1 pick and still clear enough space for a max contract to sign him outright.

I don't watch the Nets often at all. How well do D'Lo and Dinwiddie co-exist? Seems like they're going to have a lot of money tied up in their two point guards. Or do they play D'Lo at SG?
They have still been playing Dinwiddie off the bench. That’s why I’m thinking they might let Russell go, since they already signed Dinwiddie to an extension, plus they might need the cap space to sign other free agents.

How about signing Russell (perhaps via S&T) and Randle. I bet we could be a playoff team just by adding two Lakers castoffs.
Russell is gonna get paid....can’t see how we’d have space to sign both those guys unless Brooklyn foolishly took Tyler Johnson back in a S&T
Would you give up Tyler Johnson and an unconditional 1st round pick for Russell?
An unconditional first round pick from this team? Way too juicy. I’m not giving up an unprotected pick for anybody but a HOFer in his prime.

You misspelled Ricky Rubio.

I like Rubio, but wish he could finish better and was a consistent outside threat.
You would have to trade a bunch for Kemba. I would rather make that trade for Lonzo.

Have you guys seen this? https://www.theringer.com/nba/2019/3/8/ ... -nba-teams

I've been wondering if possibly that the future might may have Deandre playing possible pf alongside a shot blocking and rebounding center. If they win the lottery, I'm totally fine keeping him at center. If he develops a off the dribble drive game and extends his outside shooting to the 3 pt line, it wouldn't be the worst thing to have him play pf. He seems recently to play the dynamic athletic freaks well, that normally are able to bully their way into the lane.

Oh Geez--wpmiller42, I don't mean to be offensive, but the if you are trying to spell "Ricky Rubio", and you actually ended up spelling "Kemba Walker", I would seriously look into that. I mean, the letters aren't even close to each other on the keyboard--I probably wouldn't have said anything you actually spelled "Rikcy Rubio", because that would be totally understandable, but man--you were way off on this on.

Just as an example, I personally type the letter "R" with my left hand, and "K" with my right hand.

Keep trying!

No way Brooklyn is letting Russell go. They are seeing him as a star player now. They will match anything.
I agree, Russell won’t be available. I can’t see Brogdon being available either. Our FA pg class looks like Rozier, Wright, Rubio
There are better options available on the trade market.

I could see DA and someone like Clint Capela (or even Mo Bamba) would be a devastating PF/C combo.

I think I’ve had enough of former Rockets.

Mitchell Robinson would have been interesting. He was available in the second round and seems to block everything.

The guy you want next to Ayton is someone who can protect the rim, but is also a threat from the perimeter on offense. JJJ would actually be perfect. Keep an eye on Jamychal Green, he’s a FA and is hitting over 40% from 3 this year and provides a little shot blocking as well.

I’ll just say this about Rubio...Utah fans...except the females...do not like Rubio. I live in Utah and they complain about him all the time. He’s just useless without the ball on offense and he’s not actually that good with the ball. I’d pass on him.

Brandon Clarke in the draft his year could be really good next to Ayton.

The Suns were rumored to be interested in him, I think, 3 or 4 years ago? He's a bench player but definitely rotation worthy. Especially on the Suns.

I hate how inevitable it is that the Suns sign Rubio this summer. He’s probably already been on Zillow.

Green would be a great complement.

Kemba is going to be a poor investment. Undersized, volume shooting point guards that shoot in the low 40s and average less than 6 assists is not a winning formula. Keep in mind he can command $30-40 million a year!
